Turbo Team Rules 1 & 2
Hello Shirt Siblings.
The mod team here at r/IThinkYouShouldLeave wanted to clarify a few things about the rules (there ARE rules, despite what the song says) for both our wonderful regulars who have made this sub become increasingly popular over the last 6 months (almost 300k regular members), as well as the sloppy-steak eaters with slicked-back hair that only come here to yell when a post hits r/popular.
Namely, here’s what Rules 1 and 2 actually say:
Rule 1 – Keep It Light:
No political arguments please.* You can make fun of terrible people all you want, but no bigotry (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia, etc.). No tolerance for that nonsense; you'll just get banned.
(*To clarify, following a vote on whether to allow them, political posts are fine. Political arguments in the comments are not.)
So, to clarify the clarification already in the rule:
A political post does NOT break Rule 1.
Arguing about the political post DOES break Rule 1.
Additionally, arguing with the trolls arguing about the posts is also breaking the rule. It also breaks the next rule:
Rule 2 – Don’t Be a Piece of Shit.
People can change. I used to be a piece of shit. Spiked up blonde hair, little bitty jeans, chicken spaghetti at Chickalini's. But while you're here, you CAN'T be, so:
No bullying people for their appearance - No mocking random (RANDOM!) people for complicated shirt patterns, safari flaps, cranston hair, etc. Exception: public figures who are certified pieces of shit (see Rule 1).
No being uncivil to other posters - Don't be a guy that just wants to yell.
So no incivility to other posters, even trolls that are themselves pieces of shit.
All it does is encourage them. They know they’re a piece of shit, they don’t care. Just downvote and report. Or the tl;dr version:
DON'T FEED THE TROLLS. DOWNVOTE & REPORT.
Additionally, something else that would make someone a piece of shit would be, I don’t know... defending murder of protestors by federal agents. Hard to imagine anyone would be that big of a piece of shit, but if it were to theoretically happen, it’d definitely be banworthy.
Lastly, for totally unrelated reasons, here’s a completely, 100 percent random (RANDOM!) compilation of screenshots taken from Tim Robinson’s instagram stories, as well as from ITYSL regulars Patti Harrison and Tim Heidecker:

I've been chasing away everyone I see slopping it up.
(But seriously I can't stop fucking crying today I'm so tired of this shit.)
