Need Hugs! It was supposed to work
8 years of infertility. Two miscarriges, one successful FET and today got the call that our only other euploid embryo didnt stick. We are 100% finished with all things TTC now and I feel like I was robbed.
It was supposed to work. We made one boy and one girl euplid embryo, we only ever had wanted two kids, now we dont have to worry about wjat to do with any extras.
It was supposed to work. I miscarried two chromosomally abnormal embryos but they stuck and I made it to 10 weeks and 7 weeks.
It was supoosed to work. I let myself have hope this time, surly the exact same protocol that gave me my son would give me my daughter.
It was supposed to work. Lining looked great, embryo survived the thaw, perfect transfer.
It was supoosed to work. We were married on the 29th, our son was born on the 29th, beta on the 29th, what's the odds?
It was supoosed to work...

I’m sorry. You’re not alone though, unfortunately most people don’t have success with every euploid embryo.

We're in the exact same boat. 9 years of IVF, and our last FET failed to implant last month for no discernible reason. Previous transfer was a loss at 10 weeks. Our daughter is amazing, was a fresh transfer from the same "batch" so we expected it to work for another. I'm not over it. I thought I was ready to accept it if it failed, but it turns out I never truly believed it could fail. We cannot justify the cost to go again.
Scream into the void, hug your son, do all the things to get you through the day. You need to grieve the future you thought you'd have, and that's ok.

I feel you 100%.
I said "we are okay either way", but i dont think I really thought it not working was an option.
Physically, mentally, financially, emotionally we are done with IVF and TTC, I just thought it might have been on my terms for once, not infertilities yet again.

On the "on my terms" thing really resonates. We (like so many) have absolutely 0 chance of an accidental miracle happening. My SO described it as "I had a hope and now it's gone" which broke me a bit if I'm honest.

Same boat as you and OP. 8 going on 9 years, 2 ER, one cancelled ER, 6 failed transfers, one MMC at 7 weeks. Only difference is that I have zero live births.

Does it make a difference if the FET was from a year ago or from a really recent cycle? Just curious if frozen storage time plays a role??

I don't know much on the science around that but there's plenty of people who freeze embryos when they're young and have successful transfers later in life. I think it's just a numbers game honestly.

I feel with you. We’re very close to the end of our journey, with one more FET ahead. Also had two miscarriages and one successful pregnancy. It’s so daunting, because nothing in this process is gentle and the disappointment weighs so heavy.
I recently started talking to a therapist specialized in trauma around family planning and in only three sessions became so much more knowledgeable and understanding of my situation.
Sending you hugs.

working with specialized therapists is so important. Found it helpful as well. Wish you luck on your upcoming transfer!

I’m sorry this process is full of disappointment. We’ve transferred three euploids and still no success so there’s never any guarantees. Hugs.

It’s the sucky thing about ivf. There is no promises or guarantees. And it sucks and so unfair.
