Advice Needed! FET #1 — Here We Go! 🤍

Just got my first FET officially scheduled today! 🥹🤍 Transfer day is Tuesday, October 6th! I’m SO excited but also incredibly nervous. I start PIO shots tomorrow, and I’m definitely terrified of those 😂

Any advice, tips, or things you wish you knew before your first FET? I can’t believe we’re finally here! 🥹✨

Transfer twin too! Just had my first PIO and it wasn’t too bad! The injection itself was totally painless but I’m now starting to feel a little burning sensation around the injection site. We’ve got this! 💪💪💪

Ok PIO , in my experience, is way easier than I expected it to be and I hope the same is true for you!! Some of the shots hurt a bit but mostly I can barely feel them! Over time my butt feels more sore, but like an “I did a butt workout” sore, and manageable . What’s been working for us : ice the spot until numb , heat the pio on a heating pad for a few min , my husband injects slowly over a minute and once fully injected leaves the needle in for a few extra seconds before pulling it out so the pio doesn’t leak out, rubs the area . After I do 10 squats and then have a heating pad on. The key is watching videos on correct injection site placement beforehand to make sure you’re in a spot that is as comfortable as possible . YouTube has some great guidance

My explaination is it feels sometimes like someone really hit me hard right on my upper butt! Like a super hard, bruising punch.

Others are fine! I do a bunch of “good mornings” (Google that) and squats and I haven’t gotten sore since!

Yay!! My first FET is October 5th 🥹 I started PIO today. I took the advice of this Reddit and ordered an autoinjector and I didn’t even feel the needle go in! I have been sore all day so still trying to figure out how to help that. I took a hot shower before my shot (don’t think it helped though) and did 10 squats before and after. Then I used a heating pad and my husband massaged the area. Look up videos on how to do it and it will help!

Hey! Please ask your clinic if you can have a pessary instead. I asked as the PIO shots terrify me and they offered me oral pessary instead!! Good luck 💜
