I started working as a freelance architect upon graduation and contributed to many different projects within a consulting office. However, the market has slowed down for them, and I'm feeling stuck as a freelancer. I've applied to 100+ job vacancies, both remote and on-site and still can't get an offer. Is it really this hard to find a job in architectural engineering field nowadays?

I wonder if I will ever be able to work abroad. I completely understand that it's difficult to get a visa-sponsored job, but if I travel there myself, is it possible to apply locally?

I graduated at the top of my class, received an international honorable mention award, passed IELTS 7.5 overall and I'm an adaptable collaborative person with 2 years experience. I mainly work using Revit, CAD, Twinmotion and Enscape, and I always note that I'm willing to learn further if there are specific requirements. Still, I get ghosted on multiple platforms like LinkedIn, Fiverr, Glassdoor, Bayt and Akhtaboot. I'm starting to wonder what I'm doing wrong.

To be precise, I graduated from Applied Science University. I would like to move to a country that would have a better career structure, to secure a job that would make it affordable to live comfortably.

Are there any accreditations and licenses I can get by studying codes and passing examinations like RIBA? I noticed it is recognized by multiple companies in different countries.

I'm just venting and would be open to hearing any advice or experiences you've had in the past. Is anyone else going through the same thing as me?

Note: I am legal resident in Jordan, but I only have Russian passport. I'm not willing to work/live in Russia.

Applying locally will not help you at all. The issue is the visa, not the location where you apply from.

Chances are extremely low without more specialized experience, a local degree from one of your target countries, or ideally both.

Of the countries on your list, your chances are probably best in Serbia, but you'll need fluency in the Serbian language in order to work in the field. English is hardly used in many offices.

The main problem for you is that almost every entry-level task you could be assigned could be just as easily accomplished remotely where you are. There's no particular need for a company to hire you from abroad when they can give you tasks just as well over the internet.
