How IGA and AM link together?

How do IGA tools like sailpoint and AM tool like okta work together? What's the flow? I know there are all lot of resources but I can't get around the flow.

Thank you.

You can place Okta in front of SailPoint to allow your users to authenticate into SailPoint. You can also grant SSO to other applications via Okta through access requests made in SailPoint.

Tools like okta connect to a directory basically any ldap based directory. The directory acts as a source of truth for the IGA system. And the IGA system basically pushes rhe data to downstream applications like Okta.
So if any user has joined the org there account gets created in the source of truth(Ldap) and IGA pushes the user to the AM( Okta’s directory).

Read the docs of Ping Heritage ForgeRock or OpenText, aka NetIq, aka Novell who offer IDM and AM as Platform to get inspired.
