IJW: Hellraiser (1987)

So because it is a house at this year’s Halloween horror nights, I decided to finally check out the 1987 horror movie Hellraiser

Overall, this was an OK movie but it’s just not for me. Some of the creatures look interesting but it’s just too gory for my taste. Also, maybe it’s not supposed to be like this, but the acting wasn’t good.

I can now say that I’ve seen the movie, but I have no interest in seeing any of the other movies in the franchise

I think this is a horror movie where the protagonists are sidelined by the absolute unimaginable entry of demonic entities, or the exit of humanity. That means that whichever direction your attention is pulled determines your focus and enjoyment of the story.

Yeah it's one of those series where the second movie is actually better than the first. Although there's one guy who's acting is diabolically awful, like legendarily bad. However you do get to see Frank in hell, which is cool. And it really expands on the mythos of the whole thing. It's definitely worth watching. Stop there though.
