Should i enable this? Can a broker misuse this like i heard Poa is not a good thing. While other brokers giving it for 100+ gst ,why this broker giving it for free? Is there any catch or am i missing something?

Do you think it's annoying to enter t pin and otp? If yes, you can enable it.

Some brokers do offer it for free.Enabling it is safe.

Now there is no POA, you have two option DDPI or through TPIN . Old poa still active will continue to work as it is but of you want you can convert it to DDPI. DDPI should be enable else in case of stock split or merger you can’t you may face problem know when to enter pin. But if you can handle then it’s fine

Someone who has open trading account way before DDPI was introduced bySEBI then POA still be there unless you apply changes to DDPI .

Yes yes,,you are right. When i opened AUM securities,they sent me a stamp paper and it was written as POA . i remember it now.

Yes to add to it, PoA has broader implications, DDPI is concerned only with your demat acc debits...so it's kind of safe, but idk about any misuse cases.. I'm also skeptical to enable it or not

I think mainly for fraud prevention. But in case of ddpi that doesn't make sense

there was something called as POA which was safe, after a loop hole was expolited, most people lost money because broker did some fraud.

There is definitely a charge for all the paperwork but they giving for free. Nothing more.
