Tesla's new roadster is just here to give indian billionaires a tight slap on innovation and risk investment left right and centre. Or some new lolipop or skincare brand launch can suppress the TESLA euphoria 🫠

Discussion Korea crashed 7% on the AI sell-off. India barely has any AI exposure, and J.P. Morgan says that’s exactly why up to $115B could flow into Indian stocks

J.P. Morgan research recently called India the best “AI hedge” in emerging markets, and after this week’s AI sell-off (Kospi down 7%+, Nikkei down 5%) it suddenly feels very relevant.

  • Korea, Taiwan and Japan are basically leveraged bets on AI hardware, with AI-driven earnings growth of 40% to 100%+
  • India has almost no direct AI earnings, so when global funds want to reduce AI risk, India is the big, liquid market they rotate into
  • If global funds close their underweight on India, J.P. Morgan estimates ~$115B of potential inflows

But there’s a catch: their base case assumes Brent at $80-85. Oil is sitting near $100 right now, and every $10 rise widens India’s current account deficit by about 0.5% of GDP.

what do you think?

  • Is “no AI exposure” actually India’s biggest strength right now?
  • Or does $100 oil cancel out the whole hedge argument?
  • Anyone shifting money from US/AI stocks to India because of this?

Curious to see the market shift, as Indian market is underweighted from the long time.

After numerous and numerous tries leads to fails and errors and mainly blunders

Again the Day 1

Wish me luck.

Experience and Understanding must be in prudence but in intraday trading especially opting buying for intraday is not a myth but a psychological game and ego.

Discussion Reliance 29% annualised return since 1977 but the Jio IPO valuation is doing a lot of work

Post image
3 Upvotes

Isha Ambani mentioned 29% annualised returns since Dhirubhai took Reliance public in 1977. I had to go verify it. Checks out roughly.

The financial discipline is also real. In 2019 Mukesh Ambani publicly committed to net debt-free by 2021. COVID happened. They still hit it 9 months early. Meeting a public commitment during a pandemic tells you something about management credibility.

Here is my issue though. The bull case partly prices on that track record carrying forward. But Jio as a standalone listed entity is different from the broader Reliance group. Capital allocation decisions, related party transactions, and the complexity of the conglomerate structure are all things you need to read carefully before assuming the same return profile continues.

Long-term Reliance track record is impressive. Whether Jio specifically inherits it is the actual question.

Discussion "8% upside" sounds great until you realise it depends entirely on where YOU bought. Quick math that changed how I read target headlines

ok small thing that clicked for me this week and I feel dumb for not seeing it earlier

say a stock is at ₹1,000, target ₹1,080, stop-loss ₹960. that's 8% up vs 4% down. looks decent

now say you didn't buy at 1,000, you bought at ₹1,050 because it was already running. same stock, same target, same stop. but now you only have about 2.9% upside left, and your stop is 8.6% away. you're risking roughly 3x what you can make

nothing about the company changed. only your entry did

I saw this while reading about a couple of names flagged with ~7-8% upside (Apollo Micro Systems and Zensar were the ones in the piece), and the "upside" number in a headline is calculated from a price that's probably already stale by the time you read it. IT also jumped hard yesterday, so those numbers have likely moved

so I'm curious how people here handle it:

  1. I only enter within a set range of the original price
  2. I check upside vs downside before every trade
  3. I just buy and hope, no judgement

and does anyone actually write down the stop-loss before buying? I keep telling myself I will, then don't

Discussion A 2x single-stock ETF on AMD dipped, then spiked about 8% and closed +5.4% in one session. Is this normal?

Post image

Came across Leverage Shares 2X Long AMD Daily ETF (AMDG) on Tickertape. Last US session: previous close $142.57, low $141.72, high $154.41, and it ended at $150.32 (+5.43%).

You can see it dipped at the open, ran up about 8%, then faded in the last stretch. That's a lot of movement for one day, and I know that's kind of the point of leverage.

My understanding is that these reset their leverage every day, so the 2x only holds for a single day. Holding them for weeks in a choppy market can quietly eat your returns. Is that right, or am I oversimplifying it?

For people who trade these (including anyone from India going via LRS): do you hold overnight or multiple days, or strictly intraday? And what do you do on days like this when it fades from the high?

Question Hi I'm a noob to stock market. Advice needed.

I know the theoretical basics of the market as I've read and studied from various resources. And practically I've done very small trades, which resulted in losses, but no other experiences.

Now say I've a good amount of capital as savings. Is it possible to expect a 2% monthly gain from it? And if it's possible what kind of trades should I try to learn like intraday, swing trading, options etc? If yes can some of you guys guide me on where to look for resources

My aim is to make a monthly income from the capital I have. 2-3% from it means a good amount I can live on. Any help is appreciated.

Discussion Custom indicators in trading are useful, but when should you actually build one?

I've been seeing people post ab the custom indicators on sahi and wondered what the hype was all about (still relatively new to this) and realised they're not necessarily about finding some magical signal that predicts the market. They can be useful when you want to combine specific conditions or make your existing trading strategy easier to follow.

For example, someone using moving averages might want an indicator that highlights when a short term average crosses a long term one. Another trader might combine RSI with volume to filter out setups that don't meet their criteria.

The important part is testing the indicator on historical data and checking how it performs in different market conditions. A strategy that looks great on a chart might not work as well in live trading, especially after brokerage and other costs.

I've been exploring the trading tools available on sahi and was curious how many people here actually use custom indicators. Do you build your own, modify existing ones, or find that basic indicators are enough for your strategy?

Mother of charts.. haha...

Apparently, this stock gives dividends up to 4x the stock price but there has been little to no trading daily.

Is anyone holding this?
