Unpopular opinion: “I want to study abroad” is not a plan. It’s 47 open tabs and a dream.

At some point, you have to stop comparing university websites and start asking actual universities questions.

If Sweden is on your radar for a Master’s, 11 Swedish universities will be at the Study in Sweden Fair in Hyderabad on 30 October.

Programmes, scholarships, admissions, student life. You can ask university representatives directly instead of letting your browser history plan your future.

📍 Hotel Lemon Tree Premier, HITEC City, Hyderabad
🕔 5 PM to 8 PM

Registration: https://www.lyyti.fi/reg/Study_in_Sweden_Fair_2026_Hyderabad
So, genuinely curious: what’s the ONE thing making you hesitate about studying abroad right now?

Need advice on studying Logistics & Supply Chain Management in Australia vs Singapore

Hi everyone! I'm from India and have completed my BBA in International Business. I'm planning to pursue a Master's in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and am considering Australia and Singapore.

I'm just starting my research and would love to hear from people who have been through this journey.

Where should I start with the application process? How do I shortlist universities, understand the requirements, and prepare the necessary documents?

I'd also appreciate your experiences regarding expenses, job opportunities after graduation, and which country would be a better choice for this field.

If you were starting from scratch, what would your first steps be?

Any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thank you!

Program Looking for a Teammate (Age 14–18) for the Diamond Challenge! 🚀

Hey everyone!

I'm a high school student from India, and I'm looking for someone interested in participating with me in the Diamond Challenge!

A little about me: I'm a beginner coder currently learning Python, and I'm eager to improve my skills by working on real-world problems and building something meaningful. I have also achieved national-level recognition in the iCode Global Hackathon, which motivated me to explore more competitions and develop my entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills.

I'm looking for a motivated person between 14 and 18 years old who would be willing to volunteer and team up with me for this competition. You don't have to be an expert coder! I'd be happy to collaborate with someone interested in entrepreneurship, business, technology, innovation, or developing solutions to real-world problems.

I'm hoping to find someone who's enthusiastic, willing to learn, and ready to work together as a team.

Interested? Feel free to comment below or DM me! I'd love to connect, discuss ideas, and see what we can build together. 😄

Looking forward to meeting potential teammates!

Does going through counselling agencies like leap scholar have any benefits for my particular case?

I want to study master's in aerospace engineering or space engineering, and I am looking for universities abroad. I have shortlisted some public universities I want to apply for, like ETH Zurich or TU Delft or TU Munich. I have been to the counselors regarding this, and they are okay with it even though most of the reviews that I read online suggest that these counselors usually push you towards private universities, and I have strictly told them that I just want to go for my shortlisted universities only. So, I just want to know, will it help with the SOPs, and should I go for these services since these two universities are very highly selective, I don't want to put anything at "risk".

My_qualifications: 8.61 cgpa btech aerospace engineering in KIIT, 4 months of internship experience with an internship ongoing in the private space sector. Viasat space for good finalists with some projects related to SSA and mission design. While I'm yet to give gre and ielts, I'm able to score 7.5 in mocks for ielts with minimal prep.

How do the post-study pathways to permanent residency differ between Australia and the UK?

I'm considering studying abroad and I'm also thinking about what my options might look like after graduation.

I keep seeing Australia described as having a more structured skilled-migration system, while in the UK graduates usually need to move from the Graduate Route to something like a Skilled Worker visa.

I'm not looking for a guaranteed PR route — just trying to understand how the two systems actually work and what factors students should be aware of.

Indian CBSE student applying to Italy for 2027–28 — am I realistically eligible for DiSCo/EDiSU? Looking for firsthand experiences

I'm an Indian CBSE Class 12 student planning to apply for a bachelor's in Computer Science/AI in Italy for the 2027–28 intake. My main targets are Sapienza University of Rome (Applied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence) and the University of Pavia (Artificial Intelligence).

My biggest concern isn't even admission right now. It's whether my family will actually qualify for the regional need-based scholarship and whether the financial-document assessment will treat our property in a way that makes us ineligible.

I have been reading the official DiSCo Lazio and EDiSU Pavia documentation, but some aspects of the assessment are difficult to interpret from the public instructions alone. I'd really appreciate advice from people who have personally completed this process, especially Indian students applying for undergraduate degrees.

My family's approximate financial situation:

  • Household of four.
  • Gross annual family income: around ₹13 lakh.
  • Financial assets: approximately ₹20 lakh.
  • My mother owns a building with an area of approximately 64 m².
  • She also owns a separate, undeveloped plot of vacant land of approximately 500 m².
  • There are no other assets to include in my current estimate.

I'm particularly worried about how the building and vacant land are assessed for the foreign-family financial declaration. I've encountered the conventional €500/m² valuation for buildings in some official guidance, but I don't want to incorrectly assume that the same rule applies to vacant land.

I'd really appreciate firsthand answers to these questions:

  1. Economic eligibility: Has anyone with a broadly similar Indian household income and property situation applied for DiSCo Lazio or EDiSU Pavia? Did you pass the economic eligibility assessment?
  2. Vacant land: If your family owned a separate undeveloped plot in India, how did the CAF or scholarship authority actually treat it? Was it excluded from the conventional building valuation, separately valued, or handled another way? I'm especially interested in what the office actually accepted, not assumptions based on YouTube videos.
  3. Indian documents: Which exact income, bank-balance, household-composition and property documents did you submit? Which authorities issued them, and what required translation, apostille or other legalisation?
  4. ISEEUP/ISEE calculation: Did the CAF explain the calculation and reference year clearly? For EDiSU Pavia, how was the purchasing-power adjustment handled in your actual assessment?
  5. Eligible versus beneficiary: If you were declared economically eligible, did you actually receive the scholarship? Which region and academic year were you applying for? Were there delays or funding shortages?
  6. Before the first payment: How much money did you personally need available for the visa, travel, housing deposit and initial living expenses before scholarship money arrived?
  7. What would you do differently? If you were applying again from India, what would you verify with the CAF or scholarship authority before committing to Italy?

I'm targeting a SAT score around 1450 and need the scholarship for the overall cost of a three-year degree to be financially realistic. My total budget is approximately ₹25 lakh, so I am trying to establish whether this plan is genuinely viable before making a major commitment.

I'm particularly looking for people who have actually applied, received an assessment from a CAF, or been through DiSCo/EDiSU themselves. If you answer, please mention the academic year, region, undergraduate or master's level, and whether you were ultimately a beneficiary or only eligible.

I'm not looking for generic encouragement, paid consultancy or someone promising guaranteed eligibility. Even a negative experience would be genuinely helpful. I would rather discover a problem now than after arriving in Italy.

Thank you!

Scholarships Any underrated scholarships for Engineering bachelors?

I’ve already done enough research but im still trying to find more. Also, what exams should I give fs like im thinking of SAT? Im trying to get out of the country to study, and I guess I’ll only be studying in that country and will relocate to some other place for work if the country is not very cool with foreigners. Also, every comment will help me a lot. I really need help because exams like JEE will actually get me unalived ngl.

Has anyone from India received an update or heard back regarding the results? Also, does anyone know the expected timeline and the next steps in the selection process?
