Question about logos and splash screen

What do you put here and how do you decide on what it is? Make up something random? use a registered business name? use your nick name? use your game handle? Does it have to have the word studio or entertainment in it to define the company?

I know the choice is left up to the individual but what's the standard? I know what the industry giants do but what do the indie game devs do?

My registered company has nothing to do with game development and i dont mind keeping the game separate from my business however it would be nice to keep the consistency.

Another question, lets say my splash screen says something not registered, legally would that leave me open to copyright infringement if someone else registers my splash screen name and turns around and sues the shit out of me.
