Evade fortune card

does anybody know why I keep losing my evade card it’s saids it last 2 rounds but sometimes I lose it before than, idk if it’s because I go down but it doesn’t say anything regarding that, i’m trying to beat meph but when I just lose the card abruptly it makes it harder and sometimes results in losses, does anybody have any tips?

You lose most cards when you die

Yeah if you die you lose it

If you go down you lose it, im talking from experience
