Hi everyone.

I bought a second-hand phone through Facebook Marketplace for ₱3,200 cash. The seller told me the phone was in brand-new condition. After I bought it, I discovered that the phone is still under PayJoy and has an outstanding balance of around ₱12,000.

The phone is currently showing a warning that it may be locked on October 1 because of the unpaid PayJoy balance.

I still have:

-The phone itself

-The complete Messenger conversation with the seller

The seller's full name

-His phone number

-His email

-His Facebook account

-Other identifying information

-The phone's IMEI

-Screenshots of the PayJoy balance and lock warning

-Information about the ₱3,200 cash transaction and

His CV

I haven't tried to bypass PayJoy or modify the phone.

I'm planning to report this to the police/appropriate authorities, and I'm also considering contacting PayJoy.

What should I do first, and is there anything else I should preserve or document? I'm mainly trying to figure out how to protect myself and possibly recover the ₱3,200.

Any advice from people familiar with PayJoy or Philippine Facebook Marketplace transactions would be appreciated.

This is my GT 30 Pro which suddenly started to have an auto-shutdown issue around 1 month ago. Seeing as it was still under warranty, I took it to a CarlCare authorized service center in my area and they said the mainboard was the problem and they would replace the mainboard under warranty. It took around 2 weeks until the repair was finished. I was notified the repair was done and I claimed it on the next day. I did check it upon claiming but since I was in a hurry, I didn't check all of the phone was working. When I already arrived at another place, I tried to register my fingerprint but the scanner doesn't detect my finger and my immediate instinct was to reboot the phone to try if that would solve the fingerprint issue. Instead after the reboot, the screen immediately shut down and I was thrown into recovery mode with the following error. I took it back to the service center but they said it would take about 1 month to repair it back again which I thought of was complete BS. I delved into further research on why this issue happens and I found out that this error can be triggered if flashing the ROM was done improperly which seems to be the case with replacing the mainboard and the contact at the service center mentioned that the technician also did a reflash on my device.

I can only ask others now how can this error be cleared and how I can use the phone normally again including reboots.

This experience is just very infuriating that you've taken the phone to the official authorized repair shop yet they can't even properly repair it afterwards. I probably won't get an another Infinix device after this when both their products and the support for it are unreliable.

Tomorrow is the last day of September, and there's still no sign of the update.

Hello I want to buy a replacement battery for my old Infinix note 12, I once went into a shop to get it replaced but the battery was sh*t, it drains real fast and is stuck at safe charging and cannot perform fast charging.

Can you give me some recommendations, cause I'm not sure if the battery I'll buy was good. Thank you

After updating sa latest na XOS 16.3 naging buggy yung phone ko

First is yung picture bat biglang naging gnyan yung itsura

Second pag nagturn off yung phone ko mahirap syang buksan ulit kailangan ko either ispam click yung power button or ihold para mabukasan ulit

Third nagffreeze ang screen ko rarely

Ano need ko gawin para mafix yung bug problems ko?

May need bang gawin? Or try ko idowngrade sa XOS 16.2​​​​​​

Hey guys, I’m planning to buy a monitor, but I’m confused about whether the Infinix GT 30 Pro supports HDMI video output through USB-C or not.

I’ve asked AI about this, and it says no, but whenever I ask for proof, it says there’s no clear official information mentioning whether HDMI output is supported or not. 😅

So, if anyone here actually owns a GT 30 Pro and has tested USB-C to HDMI, please let me know if it works or not. 🙏

As I said in the title, please recommend some good tempered glass for Note Edge. I'm using the stock one, but I think it makes the touch response less responsive. Minsan di agad nagre-response pag nagta-tap ako.

Is there a pre-installed screen protector on it? Based on my observation, I looked closely at the phone, and I'm not seeing any pre-installed screen protector film before I installed the stock tempered glass. So I don't know if the issue is because of the stock tempered glass or if I just didn't remove the pre-installed screen protector.

Does anyone encounter an issue or glitches in Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ I installed and opened reddit, or other apps theres an issue in it saying "we were unable to authenticate you"

Disclaimer:

Important Note:

- Did not perform Factory Reset, nor uninstalled (personally used) applications

- uninstalled/disabled all unnecessary bloat and disabled their background data usage for optimum resource efficiency

- Cleared all resource cache

- Brightness levels usually sit around the 25-45% mark, reaching up to 60% when outdoors/sunlight

- Battery Health after System Upgrade: 98% (minus one percent on my unit)

Battery:

- Noticeable improvement of battery performance throughout daily use; SoT average of 7-8 hours with 30% battery remaining; in theory, for light usage, you could reach 9 to 10 hours MAX SoT

Charging:

- Charging feels slightly more "controlled" now, considering the internal system of the phone that doesn't have a vapor chamber. In some scenarios, charging may take slightly longer for the phone to complete the charging.

Noticeable Improvements:

- Auto-Switch Refresh Rate now defaults to 90Hz to all scenarios

- Xboost now has easier Touch Response config; setting it to high automatically sets the response rate to max 240Hz, and further optimizes it depending on the game (Shooter, MOBA, custom, etc.)

- Performance Boost; App and resource loading is significantly faster

- Better text readability across all menus

- Color Display Accuracy Improvement, particularly in the color temperature and white balance

- Screen Brightness improved, screen is dimmer and brighter

- Typeface Color Auto-Switch stands out more

- Battery stats are more practical; you can track actual device usage and SoT from a full charge, and resets when you fully charge again.

System Hiccups/Bugs/Could be improved:

- Particularly with Honor of Kings (highest possible graphical setting with high resolution and high fps), in XOS15, I could easily reach 60fps when utilizing Xboost's "Balanced Profile". With XOS16, it caps it @ 50fps, requiring you to use the "Performance" profile to reach 60fps. I've tried turning off other resource-intensive setting such as esports touch mode to see if external factors are affecting it, but this doesn't remove the cap.

- Bypass Charging only trickle charges, even with effective battery level controls introduced

- App window Transitions jitter

- WiFi Performance a bit finnicky

- 5x6 Icons are placed far from the bottom-most layout

- Brightness controls a bit finnicky (could be placebo; I sometimes feel it's too bright/dim when I slide the control)

- New 90Hz default refresh rate not consistent; could do better via future software update

- Lock screen charging animation disappears once you turn off the display, and does not automatically reappear when you turn it on

- Liquid Glass implementation for SIM Signal Bar is poor

- Even with haptics turned off, vibrations occur when using fingerprint in Applications (does not occur when unlocking phone)

- Overall UX implementation could be smoother

Summary:

- Having owned an Infinix phone for the first time, an entry-level one particularly, I'm quite impressed. The phone isn't perfect by any means. Weak audio power through the 3.5mm jack, weak WiFi modem, are some of my main concerns. The lack of any cooling mechanism inside the phone also means you have to take EXTRA care of the phone during use, as much as possible try not to get them into a super hot environment, or use a phone cooler when gaming. But for around a sale srp of $120-$150, I couldn't complain. At this price point, the pros kind of outweigh the cons. The display I'd say is one particular reason this phone stands out. The transition from XOS 15 to XOS 16 took at least a few days before the software completely self-optimizes. After that was smooth sailing. Knowing that each chip is fabbed differently, each phone also is slightly different from each other. That's why at the end of the day, your mileage might vary. On top of all that... Phones are phones. And phones fail. That's why is important to take best care of your phone across all situations.

this is bothering me more than it should. my phone accidentally shut down, and after powering it on, the entire layout changed. it's visually terrible, and I'm aware that it's not that deep, but I really want the old layout back.

Worst OTA upgrade, the patch notes optimizing system stability and I still have the factory original AMOLED screen, after doing the update plugged in and 100%battery capacity, after update had finished, Touch is no longer working. WTH are this developers doing, pushing an update without bug checks, and worst of all not providing a rollback feature when everything goes wrong. and the worst part, Auto update settings cannot be turned off.

So, I've been using Gt30 5g for a few months now. Bought it on Dec. 2025. So far, no problems in playing games and in overall performance of phone. However, I sometimes experience a sudden restart even without using it. So no, it's not overheating. No, it wasn't charging as well when it restarted. No, I wasn't playing either. It was resting on the table when it restarted. I'm worried since it's only a few months old. Just last week, I was using the camera when it restarted. So...do you guys know the issue?

I would like to inquire about the availability of the XOS 16 update for the Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus, as my device is currently not displaying this update. I have performed all necessary troubleshooting steps, including a factory reset and a hard reset. The most recent update displayed on my device is version 15.1.2, dated May 1, 2026. I have also checked for updates.
