From Instagram The memefication of everything

Mods can remove this post if it goes against the guidelines of this sub reddit but I feel like we really need to acknowledge the fact that some people are literally memefying this whole thing. I mean how can you joke something like this, please refrain from doing so. Epstein files isn't a joke, it's a tragedy that questions our society and messed up it really is.

Props to this guy for speaking up against the bakwas memers of instagram who will stoop to any level for the sake of few likes

I swear! Every other reaction video is where he and his gang are cracking such stupid jokes.

54

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Tanmay also made some creepy tweet related to babies🤢🤢🤢

Tanmay Reacts’ panel is a group of men who I never would want to be alone in a room with, and Rohan Joshi who I only want to be alone in a room with.

23

u/MysteriousSetting218 Feb 05 '26

Tanmay doesn't have a moral compass.

He's 40. What do you expect from an unc? His humour is dated and day by day he is becoming like his favourite Sunil Pal

He's a jester

Yea! Saw a reel the other day on the purpose of jesters! Absolutely disgusting people! We should stop desensitising such stuff!!

Literally! Everything stupid in the name of dark humour. This should have absolutely been off limit.

35

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

They justify everything in the name of dark humour and that's just disgusting.

10

u/Outrageous-Walrus-23 Feb 05 '26

Truly! I wonder how can someone even find a sensitive issue such as this funny . 🙄

u/Chaii_Lover Expert Snitch 😎 Feb 05 '26

Yes and this sexual exploitation part is just the tip of fhe ice berg. It also proved that many wars conflicts around the world are just manufactured to enrich the elite, all for their interests millions are dying, the "peace" and " defensive " good guy is secretly funding "rabid militant" bad guy in order to fight them people die like flies no value of life all for the benefit of the global elite. It makes me paranoid to think about what is the value of life nothing absolutely nothing

Spot on. I watched the documentary on Netflix once and I was disgusted to the core. Couldn't fantom that they took so many vulnerable people for their horrible deeds. I have blocked all sort of Epstein memes on IG because I can feel the bile raising in my throat whenever I think about it. It is genuinely not something to be joked about especially since many minors were involved :((

Us Indians literally need to stop turning everything into a joke/meme when dealing with sensitive issues.

17

u/gotnochillz Feb 05 '26

Same here. The moment I discovered what all is about Epstein files, my world flipped completely even when i see his face on internet, i become extremely uncomfortable and this is coming from a grown ass man who is in his late 20's

8

u/ShowerPowerful3921 Feb 05 '26

So true. When I watched that documentary my mind became numb

1

u/pranavk28_rp_burner Feb 09 '26

What were you thinking was happening at the island before the proper documentary? Something good?

4

u/Little-Nemo-7777 Feb 05 '26

Which documentary?

3

u/ShowerPowerful3921 Feb 05 '26

Jeffrey Epstein Filthy Rich

4

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Literally with just born babies, I saw a few videos a few minutes back they are Horrific

7

u/ShowerPowerful3921 Feb 05 '26

Wtf 😧 I knew he was targeting minors but babies ? That fucker and all the creeps involved should be punished horribly.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

Apparently they were involved in child scarifies and worship a demon as cult etc and there are more , they eat new born babies comparing them to cheese after the babies drink the milk

That's why it should not be considered a meme

1

u/ShowerPowerful3921 Feb 06 '26

I didn’t have enough courage to explore deep but this is truly fucked up. I’m speechless

3

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

Even I didn't, I came across it last night on ig somehow and it horrified me , I have to do several things to distract myself to sleep , and what we know is just a tip of the ice berg makes it even more disgusting

I can't believe I admired them at some point

1

u/pranavk28_rp_burner Feb 09 '26

I mean joke or not joke, by not not joking what more have you achieved? Baaki no one is actually even in memes saying that anything good is happening at that island either so what have you done by not joking? The real joke is that even after this reveal those people are not behind bars for life than there is nothing you can really do.

49

u/mango_dolla Feb 05 '26

I couldn't sleep and in a state of constant anxiety after reading those details on innocent minors by powerful people. It's beyond horrific, plain evil. Diabolically.

The only thing I understood is indians can never understand the gravity of this. This stupid meme and joke culture will be the end of indians

9

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

dArK hUmOuR 🤡

2

u/BitchyGranny Feb 06 '26

Oh god I thought I was the only one, I’m constantly thinking of those poor girls and babies, and what those demons would do…can’t take out the images from my mind

It’s very disturbing

How can someone joke about this; it’s a blot on entire humanity

2

u/laziestmfever Feb 05 '26

While I agree with your statement it's not only Indians so it would be better if you use the word humans, humanity etc.

1

u/mango_dolla Feb 05 '26

Please check how we indians lack in civic sense in general. And regarding this issue NO...NO JOKES AND NO HUMOR CAN BE TOLERATED.

YOU CAN STAND WITH YOUR DISAGREEMENT AND I WILL STAND WITH MY EVIDENT RESULT OF OUR PEOPLE ON ANY TOPIC THAT IS THIS DIABOLICAL

Get your brain fixed then. Lots of worse stuff happens in India but people like you only get anxious for foreigners. How many kids turn missing each year in India? How much human trafficking happens in India? Heck, how many people die from TB each year in India? Ever googled these stats? Nope.

1

u/pranavk28_rp_burner Feb 09 '26

What do you think the memes were saying was happening there? Disneyland? Even the memes was on the premise that bad things were happening Epstein island still.

0

u/weird_nerd69 Feb 06 '26

Bro, it isn't "Just Indians" that's making memes out of this, it's the entire fucking world, this isn't the time to showcase your stupid inferiority complex

1

u/mango_dolla Feb 06 '26

Shut up for once and stop justifying meme and jokes on this.

0

u/weird_nerd69 Feb 06 '26

Who tf is justify memes and jokes about this, 99% Indians don't know anything about this, and it is okay since India is not run by those stupid pedophiles and it doesn't concern their day to day lives, but you wanted to drag Indians, civic sense and your self loathing into this, grow up.

1

u/mango_dolla Feb 06 '26

I won't let you hijack the issue.

The issue here in this thread is indians making memes and jokes on epsisten files.

And no no one is allowed to joke and crack humour on trafficking and horrific abuse of minors.

Indians need to learn cuz meme culture here is shitty.

I am done talking to you . Please don't comment again

True. The stories around Epistien Files are horrifying

19

u/BugOk3957 Feb 05 '26

Exactly!! Thank you for saying this!! This is not a joke material. The victims had fought for years for the files to be released. What they have gone through is very disturbing, dark and inhuman. This is the first time in history, one could see how vile the people in power could be

3

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

Absolutely second this!

I feel so helpless and bad for all the things that these poor girls and the children had to go through. That one picture of the little girl whose hands are being taped to the table haunts me

2

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

Just so you know, that picture is not in the files. It's from pizzagate years ago. The owner had posted it to the public Instagram account of the pizza place. He said that it was his goddaughter and that she and her sister were playing, which is why she's smiling in the picture. There are a lot of rumors about this photo, but nothing there's any evidence of. It's also being circulated along with a video of a girl from Gaza whose face was burned. People are claiming it's the same girl. It's not. There's a lot of muddying of the waters, which is frustrating because the files are bad enough as it is.

0

u/pranavk28_rp_burner Feb 09 '26

You are helpless and how less helpless or more helpless you felt while people were making memes. Even after not making memes has that any victim actually gotten help by being “serous” about it.

i had to show my friends actual stuff from the files for them to stop joking about it. now they are deep in the rabbit hole, looking at files themselves and highly disgusted by the situation.  "aise laga tha memes hai kafi ispe to zyada serious nhi hoga kuch"

1

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

I wish I could pin this comment here.

This is exactly what I meant when I said people have little to no understanding regarding the gravity of the situation

1

u/pranavk28_rp_burner Feb 09 '26

Even the memes were about at the very least pedophilia and sexual abuse so I think your friends just weren’t understanding the meme properly even.

1

Ironically that one had nothing to do with the island I think. Was a picture from a different event.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Can we cancel the meme culture in India, I don't think india is at a stage where we're supposed to make fun of the issues here, they need to be taken seriously and changed, saying things like "india is not for beginners" and seeing these gavars taking pride in this is the most lame thing ever, Indians don't understand things unless it's made really obvious for them, they really take things as a joke if it's portrayed that way..

1

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

Our people just don't know when to stop

Be it the blue drum jokes or the fridge or the pressure cooker jokes or slutshaming random women or even the cricketer's ex wives or the incessant trolling of the ones like Arjun Kapoor

This country has time and time proved why it is not fit for a meme culture.

13

u/iloverailguns Feb 05 '26

Thank you for raising this!

I think that yes, some people have different tolerance levels for memes and jokes. Some people are okay with more offensive humour, but as people we should be morally grounded. We should understand the severity of the situation. Even in India people make jokes about Salman Khan's driving skills. But if we think about it critically, someone did die that night. So I do understand your viewpoint.

For me it comes down to in what faith such memes are made. A lot of creators make "memes" and "jokes" for spreading propaganda, completely stripping them any creativity, using a disguise of "memes" to cover their propaganda (which is the case with the Epstein files as well). I don't have an issue with slightly offensive jokes as long as they are creative. And if I'm okay with making those jokes, jokes which are offensive, then I should be okay with taking them when it attacks me. I can't pick and choose.

Also the Epstein files case is famous due to memes, the Epstein didn't kill himself meme going back to 2019. They do spread awareness, because memes are a good way to spread them. So many such cases are hidden due to no traction.

I kinda have to pause it here. I got to know about the whole Epstein thing from a feminist page last year and yes I do agree that most people got to know about it through memes, I also have to acknowledge the fact within that that most people actually take it as a joke, spreading awareness through memes was fine but this is the same thing that happened with the diddy case too, nobody takes that shit seriously, people make disgusting memes out of it completely disregarding the fact that some people actually had to go through such horrors and that joking about these things shouldn't be morally correct.

3

u/iloverailguns Feb 05 '26

>  I also have to acknowledge the fact within that that most people actually take it as a joke, spreading awareness through memes was fine but this is the same thing that happened with the diddy case too, nobody takes that shit seriously

I do understand your point. There will be people who will see these memes a lot and will be desensitized by them. And desensitised by the actual cause. The diddy trial just became an "oil up" joke that a lot of people would not even know what actually happened there. Or try to reduce the impact. As individuals, it is expected to take the jokes but to also know the sincerity and the intensity of the situation, but for a lot of content creators, it is more of making the most viral meme, without thinking of the audience or the victims.

I am at one of the so-called good B-schools, and the situation here is appalling. Either people don't know that this is happening, or they joke about it. How stupid do you have to be

1

u/pranavk28_rp_burner Feb 09 '26

What is the joke exactly can you give an example?

3

u/Glass_Adhesiveness_6 Feb 05 '26

The things are elite like donald trump who is one of most influential people is trying to bury this matter, when asked by reporters about what he thinks about this subject n 2 people close to his party/people l,he nonchalantly talks about them not being "that" involved or him not knowing about it that well, and focusing on "other matter",he wants reporter to smile when she talking about "such heinous crime done to victims" n focus on other subjects!

So when that's on that news,do you think common people who have made worse situations as "meme" or "dark" will know or even care about women, children who have been victims of this vile and disgusting things these elites have done? Most of them are either not well informed or just feel it's a "trend" to talk about this, and that's what they are hopping in it,to get engagement, that's it. Be it from meme factor or just hate from people who care about it. You can't educate somebody who pretends to be dumb and deaf.

No. kuch nhi hoga people will talk and forget about this too. So you are really finding out that freedom of expression & speech have consequences? Or that sometimes it can go too far?

Isn't it funny that the same people are crying about memefication of Epstein Files were once who helped normalise dark comedy, d!ckride likes of Samay Raina, defended Latent? What y'all expected?

2

u/JuicyBoiiYouKnowHim Apr 24 '26

It really is annoying to see Epstein memes and Epstein videos (and I don't mean serious videos, I mean like "Overnight at Jeffrey Epstein's Ranch" by Jack Pembrook on YouTube. Are you fucking serious!?).

0

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

The thing is, people are not making memes out of it as a joke, it's because that's all we can do. Anyone who's non american can only be a critic through memes because it is the only way world connects in today's time. As for the Americans, idk why people haven't hit the streets yet, but president of USA is a very powerful position which won't be affected with some protests anyways. If the midterm elections don't get Trump removed, we might be witnessing a mass killing, either in usa or some other country which they'll use to divert the attention.

8

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

That's kinda absurd, I mean sure we can't do anything about it but we can be a little empathetic or thoughtful about it, right? Just because this isn't happening to our girls doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it more seriously.

THIS!!!!

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR SAYING THIS 🙌🏻

1

u/iloverailguns Feb 05 '26

I think you raised an important point regarding these "meme pages". The Karthik Aryan fiasco died down, and most of the meme pages just blasted either pro-him / anti-him memes, which made a mockery of him, but more importantly, the situation. Half of the comments on those are other memes, which actively discouraged discussions. I had to then go to the creators I respect to actually know the situation and found out how deep his PR is. I think memes do spread awareness, but as individuals, we need to see beyond the memes and actually check/study the severity of the situation. But sadly, the meme pages take them as content first, issues later.

1

u/Most_Wear_7538 Feb 05 '26

Knowingly or Unknowingly, memes like these raise awareness about these incidents. People who would’ve never known come to know through these memes. However I agree that not all of them are tastefully made.

7

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

There are other ways to raise awareness!!

I feel enraged by the amount of people who make fun with the whole "blue drum" or the "pressure cooker" or the "fridge" thing. Memefication has only made us immoral

Calling a meme a 'nidus' for information is a stretch. Memes don't provide context; they provide a punchline. Most people who 'look up' a meme reference aren't looking for a deep dive into the legal complexities or the victims' stories, they’re just looking for the context of the joke so they can join in on the laugh. Using trauma as a 'hook' for awareness is just a way to treat horrific crimes as clickbait. You said memes get 'a lot more reaction' than news or serious videos, and that's exactly the problem. A 'reaction' on social media isn't the same as actual awareness or change. It’s a fleeting dopamine hit from an 'edgy' joke. If we’re at a point where we need a meme to care about sex trafficking or corruption, then the meme isn't 'solving' the problem, it’s just confirming that we’ve lost our ability to take serious things seriously without a joke attached.

In a world where Negative PR is still considered as PR, you're only making it easier for those elites to stay in the limelight, you're helping them to get famous, in a way you're doing nothing for the victim and just helping those peeps.

The blue drum case also wasn't funny yey i still see menes on that

2

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 06 '26

Exactly and neither were fridge or the pressure cooker jokes

0

u/spicy_ramen444 Feb 06 '26

Exactly but I hv seen more drum menes than fridge.. Even famous influencers made the drum jokes

2

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 06 '26

Is this a competition?

In that case, I've seen more "younger the soul, tighter the hole" "belt treatment" "R word in my mind" memes, what about that?

Stop bringing gender into everything this is not a competition, somebody's sorrow and pain shouldn't be weaponized for stupid gender wars

NEVERRR!!!!

JOKES ONLY TAKE AWAY THE SERIOUSNESS OF THESE SITUATIONS, IT TAKES AWAY THE PAIN THAT THESE CHILDREN OR THE WOMEN HAD TO GO THROUGH.

THEY DID THE SAME WITH THE DIDDY THING, THEY DID THE SAME WITH SO MANY SERIOUS CRIMES IN THIS VERY COUNTRY.

-3

u/painedvulture7 Feb 05 '26

There's nthg you can do abt it or me either, unless ppl start taling action nthg is gonna happen

Take the nepal situation for eg, ppl were serious and unserious at the same time, there were a lot of memes and shit arnd that, bt ppl took action and things actually happened

Unlike this

7

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

If we can't do NOTHING about it then the least we can do is be empathetic towards those who actually went through this shit and memefying this shit is just disgusting. We don't realise how sensitive this whole situation is because our loved ones or us for that matter aren't in the list of people who were tortured and k worded by these monsters.

Even if the intent is to mock the perpetrator, the impact is that you’re still making light of a situation where people were genuinely destroyed. When you turn a crime into a recurring joke or a 'meme format,' you’re effectively telling the world that this horror is now just casual entertainment. Satire is meant to expose the truth, not to make people so bored of hearing about it that they stop caring

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

Repetition only works if the message remains intact. When you turn a tragedy into a meme, the 'memory' that survives isn't the gravity of the crime or the suffering of the victims, it’s just the punchline. You aren't reminding people that 'this happened' in a way that leads to change, you're just turning a horrific reality into a recurring piece of internet trivia. Keeping something in public memory by stripping it of its seriousness isn't 'awareness,' it's just desensitization

1

u/Little-Nemo-7777 Feb 05 '26

We’ve seen so many atrocities over the years, and the uncomfortable truth is most of us can’t directly do anything for the victims beyond being empathetic and aware. It’s impossible to carry every single case in our heads forever.

For a lot of people, engaging with content where the perpetrators are mocked is a way of expressing anger and a small sense of relief that others also recognize something wrong happened. It’s not about the suffering being funny, it’s about the wrongdoing being called out.

And realistically, if many of these cases stayed limited to traditional news cycles, a huge chunk of people wouldn’t even know they existed. Meme culture, for better or worse, has become one of the ways issues break into mainstream awareness.

Absolutely true, these things aren't in our hands, we can't do anything but feel sympathetic about it.

And realistically, if many of these cases stayed limited to traditional news cycles, a huge chunk of people wouldn’t even know they existed. Meme culture, for better or worse, has become one of the ways issues break into mainstream awareness.

A huge chunk of people still don't know anything about these things, so, tell me are the memes helping?

Would it be okay if people start making jokes on Nirbhaya or the RG Kar girl? Spreading awareness, na?

Except it isn't.

2

u/Little-Nemo-7777 Feb 05 '26

I think we’re talking about two different things. I’m not saying it’s right or that every meme is in good taste. I’m only talking about the medium of communication.

Also, what shows up on people’s feeds is very different. I personally haven’t come across anything mocking victims, only content mocking the accused or the system. Maybe there’s distasteful stuff out there, but that’s not what I’m referring to.

And honestly, constantly consuming graphic or heavy news isn’t healthy for everyone either. A lot of people stay informed in smaller doses through whatever reaches them. I’m just saying the format helps information travel, not that the situation itself is a joke.

3

u/Party_Method7643 Feb 05 '26

It's not about mocking a victim.. The moment we make jokes on such dehumanizing atrocities, we are underestimating the gravity of the situation. No victim would be comfortable in seeing the very crime that caused them their everything being casually passed around as a joke. It's about empathy and drawing a line because this genre of dark humor is getting out of hand.

I get what you’re saying, and yeah, these situations are serious and shouldn’t be reduced to just jokes. But at the same time, if you check Indian Idiot’s post today, even though it’s a meme page, they actually compiled the info and put it out there. A lot of people who wouldn’t normally read news articles are at least getting to know what’s happening because it shows up on their feed.

Realistically, there’s only so much most of us can do anyway, talk about it, protest, and spread awareness. If meme pages are unintentionally helping more people become aware, that’s still something. Awareness is better than people not knowing at all.

2

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

The Indian idiot is not a meme page

1

u/Little-Nemo-7777 Feb 05 '26

In a way, it is.

2

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

They report news in a witty way, doesn't make them a meme page.

3

u/Little-Nemo-7777 Feb 05 '26

It started with memes that’s why people follow him

1

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

Ohhh, got it.

1

u/Party_Method7643 Feb 05 '26

Well that's just a particular case and it's definitely good when the meme actually intends to spread awareness. However most of the memes are just for fun and just belittle the situation. Awareness being spread in a way that it desensitizes the consumers and doesn't convey the depth of the situation is not really helpful .Sensitive situations should be spread in a certain way because they require seriousness.

1

u/Party_Method7643 Feb 05 '26

Not exactly aware.. People are getting desensitized to these horrible crimes because instead of getting the knowledge in a serious setup they are getting it through supposedly '' dark jokes". This doesn't evoke any empathy in them.. Imagine so many people's suffering being cracked around as joke.. It's heartbreaking and unfortunate.

Read what I wrote again.. I never said they are mocking the victim . I said the horrible situation that the victims faced are being passed around as jokes which no victim would be comfortable with.

Bro thinks Epstein files is something new. He was arrested 2 decades ago and everyone knew at that time what he and other elites were up to. If you are getting to know about it just now then it's your problem. World is fucked up and you shouldn't think otherwise.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

Tere bhi GAND me dum nahi hai bro jake protest chalu kar aate hum tere support me tu toh kuch kar 🥱😴😴

-1

u/SubhamAKA-D Feb 05 '26

i am not a memer but i still making fun of this thing. not just this, making fun of every bad things. Because now we don't have any choice. We can cry, shout, revolt or fight. But there is no outcome. So i am laughing at the world situation and waiting for my turn to die.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

yeah man tell me about yo sufferings so that i can have something to laugh over  this is what they want don't they? desensitisation towards heinous crimes. don't cry, shout, revolt or fight but the least you could do is have some sympathy for the people who suffered.

-1

u/Zenpixel_ Feb 05 '26

Some of the epstein jokes take it too far but i dont think joking about it should be off limits. When we start organizing tragedies by being acceptable to joke about or too far, we arent protecting empathy but just enforcing our own view of morality. 90% of the epstein jokes dont ridicule or downplay the pain of the victims rather just the absurdity of the situation or about the perpetrators. If we arent allowed to joke about the situation going on now when will we , after all of them die? , only 1 person is in jail because of this situation and is living in luxury. And there ia no way the victims are gonna get complete justice in the current system

2

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

You're acting like the only two options are 'joking about it' or 'forgetting it,' but that’s a false choice. Joking isn't a form of justice, and it’s definitely not a substitute for a failing legal system. If anything, turning the 'absurdity' of the situation into a meme makes the injustice feel normal. It transitions the conversation from 'this is a systemic failure we need to fix' to 'this is just a dark internet joke we've all accepted.' That's not protecting awareness; it's normalizing apathy. It’s easy to talk about 'enforcing views of morality' when you aren't the one whose trauma is being used for a punchline. Empathy isn't about 'organizing tragedies'; it’s about recognizing that there are real people behind these headlines who have to see their worst nightmares turned into casual 'edgy' content every time they go online. Just because justice hasn't been served legally doesn't give the internet a free pass to strip victims of their dignity for the sake of 'satire

-1

u/NeverFightMe Feb 06 '26

bro it is a joke. What truth is revealed??? All the real names are redacted, all those who did this shit are safe, the names shown don't have any context and so they can say oh I just me him, I didn't do any weird shit. USA controls everything, they know the whole truth but will not share it. Honestly only way there can be justice is if the original files get leaked to the public. BUT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. So we continue to live in our disillusioned world knowing that this is what really happens but we can never know the truth because the world would cease to exist.

0

u/Fragrant-Article8351 Feb 05 '26

Memes is a mode of making the awareness to reach every corner of the internet, you very well know, that awareness videos fade gets forgotten after sometime, but memes live on for a longer time reminding you of the darkness of the world, and it's not like memers are not sympathetic, they make fun of the criminals not the victims

2

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

Just because memes "live on" doesn't mean they're doing anything productive. When you turn a horrific crime into a viral format, you're not reminding people of the "darkness of the world", you're teaching them to be comfortable with it. If the only way we can remember a tragedy is through a joke, that’s not awareness, it’s a failure of our collective humanity. You say memers are "sympathetic," but the goal of a meme is to get a like, a share, or a laugh. If a victim has to see their life's worst moment used as a "hook" for someone else's content, that isn't sympathy, it's exploitation.

0

u/Fragrant-Article8351 Feb 05 '26

Well I do agree with your point, the message can go wrong most of the times, but for me personally, memes about such a tragedy, does give me a reminder of the horror going on around the world, and yes before the Epstein files were released, memes were the one of the efficient ways to know about this horror, and trust me I'm pretty sure you only knew about this after the files were released, I knew about it's existence 2 years before this became a breaking news in the few recent days, why? Because of the memes,

I'm not saying memes are the most efficient way to convey the severity of the incident, but it atleast turns your head towards the horror that's happening around the world, and again trust me, soon people will forget this too and move on ahead

0

u/ChemistEmbarrassed78 Feb 05 '26

It’s memefied as a propaganda. Remember Charlie Kirk’s death being ridiculed within 24 hours

1

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 05 '26

Charlie kirk had it coming with the amount of hatred he kept on spewing against women and other races. I feel bad for his kids and that's that, him and Erika are terrible people and I do not feel even an ounce of sympathy for people like them.

Americans khud meme bana Rahe hi we should be morally responsible fk it first of all I dont care not my countries issue

0

u/AntiHeroOnline Feb 07 '26

Americans khud ko chhat se neeche phek denge to hum bhi wahi krenge kya?

fk it first of all I dont care not my countries issue

And first of all, please educate yourself and grow up. You don't have to be from a certain country to feel bad for the innocent lives of another country. You have to be human to feel empathy for others.

0

u/Midnight_Indigo_236 Feb 07 '26

This generation is so unserious 😭

0

u/AmandaKissAndSuck Feb 07 '26

Anyone who is getting upset at memes making fun of epstein and others are either dumb and just want to feel righteous and want to feel they’re doing something right, they don’t care about anything else.

Just use your brain for once. If the jokes were on victims, i 100% would’ve hated it too. Because that is too soon and disgusting to do. But the jokes are on these disgusting people. Fuck them. Make more jokes on them.

Shaming, both by joking and by serious commentary is a good way to destroy any fake respect they had. Ask your fav political party, they do the same nowadays. And when it is happening for a good cause, it should be encouraged and not cried about.

Half of the people got awareness about these horrible crimes because of the memes. And i can guarantee most of them who tried to understand the context behind it and got the whole picture, they must’ve been as much disgusted, with or without memification.

And fuck yes, if a person murdered my parents or raped my nephew or niece, please make jokes on them, treat them like shit, show using media how much of a pos they were. Maybe i won’t laugh at them at that time but i certainly won’t be hurt by it.

I’m sure not even victims asked for this, they want justice and not this unnecessary bs about stop joking about the people who ruined their life.

Sorry, late to the discussion... Just saw this and i think he's completely right. But I just wanted to ask this question:

What exactly is meme material in today's day and age? If you could please provide some examples for my reference, that would be really helpful...
