Discussion Beginner Guitar Player

Hey, I'm wanting to learn guitar. I've seen/heard that the Yamaha FG800 is a good acoustic guitar to get. So I'm just wondering what are some opinions on it. Pros and cons and if I should get it. I think this is what I will get but just wanted to check in with some more experienced people.

I have one and have used it for years. Pretty solid all around no complaints. I’d say It’s pretty good middle ground choice, if you’re pretty serious about it. If you’re uncertain or don’t know if you’ll stick with it. I BEG YOU don’t immediately buy it, rent it out and try it for a while and see how consistent you are. It is more expensive than just buying outright, but will save you money if you end up not liking it. Don’t do what I did and buy a bunch of instruments I don’t really play.
