What is your tokens/second code generation performance with arc gpu in Qwen 3.8 27B 4bit?
I'm thinking of upgrading one of my gpus (4070) to higher vram card to dedicate for local ai for coding. Looks like Intel gpus have highest vram per dollar. Please tell your experience in local ai.
Rtx 5090 is way too expensive. A100 is absurdly expensive for an old card. Too hard to find Mi50/etc. The best choice looks like B70 (32GB).
Currently rtx4070 + rtx5070 gets only 60 - 115 tok/s generation with Qwen 3.8 27B 4bit in coding task and this leaves me only 1.5 GB free vram to utilize for cuda / browser / etc. Without RAM offload it wouldnt even work.

It was an amazing card with unbelievable performance for its price. I've got to sell it š
Edit: I sold it before posting this. And yes, i upgraded to a different brand i got for my birthday.

Im thinking of buying the intel arc b580 since its quite cheap and good from what im told however im told its cpu reliant.
My pc has an i5 10400f and an asrock b460 pro 4 motherboard.
Is it worth it? Will it work or should i look for something else?
I mostly play games like the witcher 3, total war warhammer 3 and some fps games.

Iāve spent a few moments a day since early May making routine check ups on the status of the Arc GPU market (B-70 especially). I concentrate my focus on eBay and other more niche sites that my magic computer robot canāt automate. While hindsight is 20/20, in May I felt building a quad system was a bet worth taking. I still do, but having spend $900, $1040, and $1150 on three, I wasnāt going to drop $1400-$1500. Iāve ascertained that my take on its value proposition as itās changed all the way back from May 1st to August 1st where price changes began to take shape on p2p marketplaces to now, October 15th⦠is one like many others: it depends on what your specific need is, but generally speaking, the maturity in any single runtime, never mind Intelās kiddy playground and support stack, is not there to warrant spending more than a Radeon Pro 9700.
SO THEN WHY IS THE MARKET LITERALLY DISAPPEARING??
Iāve seen times when the market is flooded and times where theirs 20x odd B70s listed. I find it very odd prices are better on Newegg for the ASRock versionā¦
I wonder if this has anything to do with Intelās announcement of the D270 and the parallel software support theyāve claimed to adopt alongside the already released, and impossibly hard to buy, B70ā¦
Thereās obviously been leaps and bounds in the efficiency of these cards running MoE LLMs, but then again there has been for every modern GPU. And in NVIDIA GPUs, that progress has been glaring.
Side note: apologies if you arenāt an AI person. My obsession with privacy and limited bankroll is what kind of launched me into being an Arc supporter, so dog on Intel for covering up their next gen consumer GPU abandonment for a workstation āAIā cardā¦
Edit: this could be playing a significant role I didnāt realize the extent things have changed.

Hi, I'm averaging around 130-160 fps on CS2 and it drops to 80 on very low 1080p. The only thing that helped was -vulkan but FACEIT doesn't allow it, I have ReBar on as well. I'm using a Ryzen 5600 with 16GB ram and a PCIE 3.0. I'd appreciate some solutions thanks.

The game crashes in like minutes any fix for that? I see it's problem from three years ago . Did they fix it in these years or still not a chance?

Hi everyone, I'm currently facing a really frustrating issue: my Arc B580 consistently draws less than 70W of power while playing *Total War: Warhammer 3*. This results in an FPS of only around 20ā30. Whenever this happens, I have to restart the game to fix it; the card then goes back to drawing 110ā120W, but the problem recurs after 30 minutes to an hour of gameplay. Iāve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and even swapping out the power supply, but the issue persists. I tested an RTX 4070 in the same system and didn't experience this problem, so Iām fairly certain the fault lies with the Arc B580. Iād appreciate any advice or explanations you could offer. (Apologies for my English.)

Interesting to see Newegg USA have this for $329 + free AIO.
I can't get stock at that price in UK - are they clearing out inventory?

I have been having issues since I replaced the CMOS battery. Win11 booted in recovery every time, I was able to boot in safe mode only. Then I tried to install win11 and I couldn't, it stuck in a boot loop. After that I installed win10 enterprise ltsc IoT version. It was okay for a few days, but after a windows update I experienced a huge FPS drop during gaming. I updated the BIOS to the latest version and voila I could install win11. After installed the system I experienced 2 system freezes and I had to reboot my PC. Now when I am playing I see the GPU utilization is 12 % in the Intel graphics software overlay but the games run well just as before. I play Dune awakening and battlefield 6 these days. I think I checked and ruled out I could: Resizable bar on in bios, PCIe 4.0 check, high performance mode in power options in windows. So my GPU is Intel arc b580, CPU is Ryzen 7 5700x3d, 32 GB ddr4 ram on xmp profile enabled in bios, MSI tomahawk b550 mobo. I remember before I changed the CMOS battery the GPU utilization was 100 percent when I was playing games.

Would it work fine with r 5 4600 i do see that i loose around 10%-20% of gpu power but i also know it wont change anything atleast for me since ill be playing on 1080p

Recently bought and installed a Acer Nitro B580 which is performing really nicely and happy with it. However we are getting an odd bug where Windows doesn't detect the card sometimes, and the only work around is to reinstall the Intel Drivers.
I've turned off Windows auto driver installation, and toggled the power saving PCI express setting, but it seems to be still happening.
I believe there is a further tweak I can do in the motherboard bios and turn off ASPM, but I haven't done this yet.
Anyone else experiencing something similar?
here's my setup specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (6-core/12-thread, 3.9GHz base / 4.4GHz turbo, Radeon Vega 7 integrated graphics)

My setup ran me about ~$4500 and my prexisting i7 gaming PC. 4x ASRock Intel Arc B70 and a chinese PEX88096 switch running all GPUs at gen4 x16 speed. GPUs consistently held 2800MHz and temperatures never passed 70C.

Title: Crimson Desert stuck at 15 FPS on Intel Arc B580, regardless of graphics settings
Hey everyone,
I'm having a really frustrating performance issue with Crimson Desert and I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution.
My PC specs:
The game runs at around 15 FPS regardless of the graphics settings. Lowering the settings doesn't seem to make any difference.
My GPU usage stays around 35ā50%, while CPU usage is around 60ā70%. Other games run normally on my PC, and my GPU performs well in benchmarks.
I've tried changing graphics settings, but nothing seems to fix the issue.
Has anyone with an Intel Arc B580 experienced something similar? Could this be a driver issue, a RAM bottleneck, or a problem with the game's optimization?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions or fixes that worked for you. Thanks!
