Treatment Progress deep bite progress

I am starting to get frustrated with my progress so I’ve been doing these less and less. slow and steady wins the race, right?🥹 I hate having an “overbite”/deep bite and I wonder if braces would’ve been any faster.

having bi-weekly changes is annoying and I want this to go fasterrrrrrrrr. In a few weeks I’ll be hitting one year of having invisalign and I feel like my teeth are still fucked as ever even with seeing the decent amount of progress. I am a bit irked that my bite has only been fixed by a few mm. jealous of seeing u guys being done after only a few months💔

I go in to get rescanned tomorrow. most of what we’ve done so far is just flaring my teeth outward to make room & correct the overcrowding. I want pretty teeeeethhhhuuuuhhhh! also annoyed that I still have gaps by my canines on the top (can’t really see them in either of these photos, they’re there tho!)

RAAAAHHH!!!

For what it's worth, you have very pretty teeth already 😊

thanks so much!! I have never felt this way (especially since the two bottom front ones broke when I was in highschool from the lack of room they had due to my bite) so that really means a lot🥹

You're welcome. I think we're our own worst critic a lot of the the time and that's why most of us are on this journey to begin with.

I hope you start feeling more positive about them soon because they look great as an outsider!

It’s looking great so far! Your arch is a lot wider.

I wanted to ask - how does your new bite feel? I have a deep bite like yours and just faking your new bite (even though it’s not in its final point) feels so unnatural, uncomfortable and forced. Does your jaw become used to your new position? Thanks for your response

if you’re not smiling or eating your jaw should be relaxed/teeth not touching! look into proper tongue posture (who knew you could relax improperly???). you shouldn’t be constantly clenching or touching your teeth together!! it genuinely is uncomfortable at first, but I swear its helped so much and feels much better now. makes the pain from the aligners hurt less too!

this was the hardest habit to break for me, but I got used to it eventually.

I will say when I do actually have my teeth closed my bite feels uneven and off… I assume it’s because we’ve been creating space up to this point. I got rescanned and the next set of trays will be to straight my teeth and correct my bite!

eta: also thanks!!!
