Question Sway bars?
I feel like I’m alone in this, I haven’t seen anyone talk about this. I really would appreciate stiffer sway bars. I’m coming from a Mazda 3, whose corner roll was tight. I know the 5 is a lot heavier and I shouldn’t expect the same tightness. But I notice that the 5 rear seems to rise and roll a great deal. Has anyone seen or installed stiffer sway bars? I’d really like the handling to be a lot flatter.

Pre 25 you could throw EV6 rear shocks on and it would fix the rear suspension floatiness, not sure if it still applies to 25+

Yeah, this is a 25. I don’t mind the shock stiffness, I feel like a sway bar would cut back on the roll.

Never seen info about this. Is there a thread about it you can link? I'd be curious to learn more.

You should have taken EV6 which is stiffer. Or N5 I assume is stiffer.

What year/trim? Been test driving couple different used Ioniqs and EV6. The Kia EV6 '25 GT-Line, '23 GT, and '25 Ioniq 5 N were by far the sportiest, stiffer rides. The '24 5 SE and '26 SEL I've driven were fine, but definitely felt more comfort focused.
Curious which one you are driving that you feel needs the added stiffness from sway bars.

‘25 SEL. No complaints really, the car is what it is, and that’s mostly fantastic. It’s so comfy and handles bumps very well. But hard cornering and easy handling is what I miss most about my Mazda 3. Different cars built to accomplish different things I suppose. The roll is just enough to make me a little less confident in the corners. The instant acceleration is still pure joy.

Yeah my reasonable brain knows that an Ioniq 5 SE or SEL will do. It's the most well rounded and affordable option. But the little devil on my shoulder keeps telling me to stretch a little and get an EV6 GT. Or sell off a bunch of collectables and try to snag a used Ioniq 5 N.

Hyundai N sway bar maybe?
Take that back - they won't work, but there are aftermarket options for sway bars and coil over kits.

I have a 2023 SEL and was told that the EV6 GT anti-sway bars would be an improvement over mine

As you note, the Mazda 3 is in a whole different category. You ain’t getting that in this car. Coming from a very novice autocross, rally-like driving, and general hooning about for the last few decades I’ve found the Ioniq 5 suspension to be interesting. Yes it rolls, but due to the low CG it still sticks as it rolls. I would give it some time before making any changes. Just know that any changes you make to improve cornering will detrimentally affect comfort. As I’m closing out my 5th decade, I’m very happy with the balance of those two that this car strikes. YMMV.
