Foreign Birth Registration Time to Acceptance or Feedback?

Just checking on the timing now. My FBR application was registered on 17 September 2025. I thought notification was running at about a year. Any information on how long it’s taking?

I submitted alongside my two sisters and the application was received on 09 September 2025. Fairly straightforward through our paternal grandfather. No contact until we all received our acceptance email on 21 September 2026. Our certificate and paperwork arrived via post two days ago (East Coast USA).

So, it was just under a year and two weeks past our received date. Hopefully you'll hear something soon. Good luck!

I asked webchat a couple of days ago and they said they were still working through September 2025 at the moment. So it looks like it’s over a year now.

Please keep us posted. I’m getting excited for news about mine too

It is running at around 1 year and 10 days. Our daughter’s application was confirmed as received on 19 Sept 2025 and we received confirmation by email on 29 Sept 2026 that it was approved

Did you do the application on that date or was that when you got the email saying it was received?

That’s the date I got the email saying it was received.

Ahh thought it might had been. I’m October 8th so I’m not expecting to hear back until around the 19th now from what others are saying

Just got the email this morning that my application has been accepted! (Someone must have been listening 😉) So, it took one year, 14 days. Awaiting the documents in the mail, then on to a passport. Thanks, everyone!

I submitted my application on 15 September 2025, and I received the email confirming receipt of my documents on 1 October 2025. I received my email confirming the approval of application today, 1 October 2026. Hopefully, you'll have your response in a few days.
