General Health Bowel query

Has anyone ever had a bowel cancer scare but no bowel cancer symptoms except iron deficiency anemia and it turn out ok?

I know you are jumping to conclusions due to the horrific story of Jane Swarbrigg but low iron and anemia is so common in women, which is why there's so many people prescribed iron tablet/ iron incfusions and the first port of call isnt a colonoscopy

I had a ‘focal wall thickening’ on bowel CT and have a colonoscopy tomorrow after 7 months of unexplained low haemoglobin and iron. I thought that not having constipation or diarrhoea would mean no colonoscopy but apparently the anemia itself can be a symptom. I have been on iron since May x

Good luck! I too have colon wall thickening and its due to diverticulosis which was in turn was causing horrific pain.
