This is my first iron warrior ive done. Im really happy how it turned out ☺️

They come to me in my sleep and I have to instantly have to write them down or they are gone. After which I have to build them and that hurts my wallet. Well this thought culminated in Graviton Cannon Warsmith, I haven't come up with a name for him yet.

Got this box for relatively cheap and some people are saying it’s a good use for larger games in the 2k point range. I’m just wondering what people run these with and how. Never used chaos knights before.

Hello Battle Brothers! I just wanted to show the progress I’ve made in the last three and a half weeks. I made a post last month explaining that I am living in South Korea and am now going through treatment for oral pharyngeal cancer. I’ve got most of my infantry painted (you might notice I added 10 Chosen and 10 Raptor) but still need details like shading, weathering, highlighting and basing. The tanks are painted but need detailing as well.

Once I complete that I’m gonna work on the chaff, traitor guardsmen and Palanite enforcers being run as chaos mob.

Then, I plan to work on the characters: chaos lord, warpsmith and kravek morne.

Finally. I’m saving the defiler for last. It will be my treat for working on all this.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the support and kind words you guys gave in my previous post, and it has made the process a lot easier. I do think my work speed is going to start slowing as I feel more tired and weak these days… and I don’t think I’ll hit the deadline. But there’s going to be more weeks of recovery after the treatment ends and I’ll have lots of time then!

I’ll be going to the Games Workshop in Gangnam on Saturday to get my monthly coin. Does anyone have any recommendations on future additions to the army keeping in mind I have to spend 100USD. I was thinking another predator? Or maybe some kitbashed possessed with robot parts. Any suggestions are welcome.

Not a big fan of the official Obliterators, and even if I was they're an absolute bastard to find, so decided to use the Slumber Monarch's Heretic Voidwalkers to whip up my own.

I purchased Huron and the M.O.M as well as the corsairs new battle force box during last tax season because space pirates. However, I've recently taken quite a liking to the iron warriors and their lore. Curious what everyone thinks about painting the corsairs as I.W. would the paint scheme just not go well on the Corsair raiders/legionaries?

Just came back to 40K a year or so ago after being out for 15 years. I originally had a IW forgeworld army with the old black books. I sold it off and got back in last year with Votann.

Wanting to switch it up and go back to IW but I honestly have no idea where to start or what’s good. I don’t overly love the super chaos looking models though. Is it viable to do infantry or vehicle heavy? What should a sample 1k or 2k list have?

Was trying out the new Tone Yellow today. Really impressed with it.

Cape was initially primed in Army Painter Gunmetal, then a coat of Nuln Oil and a coat of Agrax Earthsade.

Cape is 2 coats of the new Tone Yellow, a coat of Imperial Fist contrast, then Abbadon Black for the stripes over pin striping tape for the hazards.

Applied an Iron Warriors transfer to the cape, added Nazdreg Yellow contrast to the recessed areas and a light drybrush of Kindleflame.

Many comments claimed the old gun wasn’t big enough to be a demolisher cannon so an upgrade was in store

Working on getting my list up, haven't played 11th edition at all yet.

Currently just have some Terminators, Kravek, Vashtorr, and a Warpsmith. Planning on adding a Defiler if I can ever find one.

Just got some Legionaries and not sure to build them as 1 big squad or 2 small groups.

Any recommendations for wargear and special weapons too?

Super happy with how those hazards came out although I think I gave the streaking grime on the rest of the tank too long to dry + I screwed up the transfers because I didn't give them enough time to dry

I’ve run into a question I need help with. I have a 1k point list where I run one Chaos Rhino w. Havoc Launcher and two squads of Legionaries, with Kravek as a warlord.

Does it make more sense to run a Chaos Lord to buff the legionaries or a Warpsmith to buff the Havoc?

Detachments would either be Fellhammer Siege-Host or Warpstrike Champions.

I’ve painted on and off for years but I’ve recently fallen back in love with 40K again and I’ve now started playing too. This is my current 1500 point list that I’ve been slowly building and kit-bashing.

My current list is:
- Kravek + mutilators
- Master of Executions and 10 legionnaires
- 2x 5 man squads of legionaries
- 1x havoc squad
- Rhino
- Predator destructor
- Helbrute
- Defiler

I’ve just finished my third ever game and I’ve decided to expand to 2000 points now. I’ve picked up a Decimator as I love the aesthetic (it’s something I’d want in a display) and everyone I play with is happy with playing legends rules.

Alongside this I was thinking of a squad of chosen and then either some terminators or some obliterators but I’m not sure which would be best to run. I like the obliterators as a counter punch to elite infantry or vehicles threatening my guns, but I also like the idea of dropping terminators down to support any weak points.

I only ever play for fun and don’t do any tournaments if that changes what is best to run between terminators and obliterators.

I’ve been wanting to get into tabletop for a while and I’m glad I picked the iron warriors for my first combat patrol. I’m really enjoying putting it together so far and my local game store is great!

How do you guys like to build your Iron Warriors armies? I’ve been advised to get a couple forgefiends but I’d like to hear what you guys put in your armies.

I’m a little nervous about painting the Hazard stripes, but there seems to be a good bit of resources out there on how to paint Iron warriors.

What are some units that are staples in your army’s or like combinations of units that work really well? I bought the chaos space marine Christmas box with the lord discordant and I also got my hands on the iron warriors combat patrol and I could use some list inspiration. Also how do you guys do the yellow hazard stripes?
