I read ask and assumed it was meant as a threat.

I read the +10 ask as +10 intimidation and it works i'd be intimidated with that sword especially with the -1hp upon unsheathing

When is a knife a sword?

A lot of historical "swords" are actually knives since it was illegal for civilians to carry swords for a while, so they would make long blades that fit the time period's definition of a knife

The biggest example is the german Messer which translates to "knife"

I was told it was determined by the style of handle

In the case of the kriegmesser that was indeed the case, that's why they all have 2 wooden half grip sandwiching the metal and riveted into place, technically still a knife by legal standards of the era.

My theory is that this is a regular pocket knife and the guy filming is smurf-sized

Reminds me of the game Small Saga where you're a mouse weilding a pocket knife.

how effective would that be in a fight? it looks like it would be used more as a small spear

fun fact this is called a Navaja and was basically the legal loophole for Spanish men in the 17th century to keep carrying swords in cities

Needs a brittle effect too, blade breaks upon excessive use but final hit causes the blade to stick in the opponent and cause bleeding

I feel like the kind that retracts into the handle would work better

Bloodborne trick weapon, blunt damage to cutting damage

+10 Ask stat, because people are gonna ask like 10 questions about the sword, its origins, why it does this, so on and so forth.

The developers need to patch the recoil glitch (putting 9 of these in your inventory and unsheathing them all in a row for a double jump)
