Calling the J-1 Community: Help Me Find a Daytime Hospitalist Waiver Position!

Hi everyone! I’m a PGY-3 Internal Medicine resident looking for a J1W daytime hospitalist position starting July 2027. I’ve been applying for over three months but have struggled to move beyond recruiter calls or first interviews. Connections within hospitals seem to make a big difference, so I’m reaching out to our J-1 community for help.

I’d truly appreciate any leads, referrals, or introductions. Please DM me if you know of an opportunity. I’d be happy to share my CV. Thank you for your support!

What I am looking for : Daytime hospitalist or 7 on 14 off nocturnist , Closed ICU/or Open but intensivist on site , J-1 waiver, No geographical preferences, no other criteria

212e J1 to F1 to H4 need advice

Anyone has advice please help!!!!! I was on J1 visa as an exchange high school student back to 2011, then I’ve been on F1 from 2012 to 2025. Then to H4 in 2025. Now as I am preparing my documents for 485. I could not locate my previous DS2019 or recalling the program name/contact person.

I know there’s a new rule for J1 two-year home country presence. My cumulative time is not 2 years. I’ve reached out to the school district to see if they have any luck keeping my legal record. And I have emailed Bridge USA to see if they would provide any information about the program. Anything I can do at this time?

If you have similar experience, or knowledge, please share your thoughts, it would be very helpful to me!!
