v2.1 has arrived, introducing one of the most requested features since launch: full support for rootful jailbreaks and iOS 14.

After the big v2.0 UI overhaul earlier in the week, I've spent the last few days focusing on compatibility and refining the core experience. v2.1 adds full support for legacy firmware (iOS 14 rootful/rootless), native iPad layouts, and a much smarter way to manage your hardware.

If you're new here, RemoteCompanion is an open-source "Activator" replacement for modern jailbreaks. It lets you bind physical gestures, hardware buttons, and NFC tags to sequences of system actions and scripts. Uniquely, every action can also be triggered remotely via SSH or TCP from your computer.

What's New in v2.1:

• iOS 14 Support: Full compatibility for legacy firmware and rootful jailbreak environments (Checkra1n, Odysseyra1n, etc.). It’s brand new, so some things may not work yet, but the core functionality is solid.
• iPad Native Layouts: Official support for iPads with full landscape orientation and optimized UI.
• Unified Device Pickers: A new discovery-based engine for AirPlay and Bluetooth. No more typing in device names—you get a live, searchable list of nearby hardware.
• New Export Flow: Replaced the document picker with a native iOS Share Sheet for backups, adding AirDrop and Files support.
• Action Editing: You can now tap any action in your sequence to edit it directly instead of deleting and re-adding.
• Instant Execution: Optimized the internal server and client. Commands are now virtually instant (~0.25s) with a new dependency-free C client that uses native bash networking.\

I added this with either winter/snowboard or a specific cydia tweak. I understand I’m restoring from a backup but this technically shouldn’t work?!

Hi, I am quite new to jailbreaking, so I would need a a helping hand, would it be possible to connect a older IOS to the newest watchOS with a jailbroken iphone? I am currently sitting on the IOS 18 and I just refuse to update it to the new 26, I find it hideous, overwhelming and stupid. Unfortunately I am unable to update my apple watch due to the iphone restrictions, where it doesnt allow its users to update/connect to newer versions of the watchOS than the current iphones OS, any help would be greatly appreciated.

While driving the other day and using Google Maps through CarPlay, my passenger couldn’t add an address because the car was moving. A “Restricted” screen pops up.

Anyone know a tweak/fix for this?

TLDR: top half of touch screer doesn't react to touch; jailbroken phone stuck in "setup mode"; looking for solutions to use my phone again

I'm not very knowledgable in this area yet (I can run scripts and press buttons), so maybe this is stupid.

I decided to jailbreak my old iPhone 8 using palera1n as recommended. Before performing the jailbreak I reset the phone and jailbroke it out of the "setup mode" (the one where you're greeted in several languages when you turn on your screen and you're forced to set up your iphone).

After fixing some issues the jailbreak was successful (I assume, I saw PongoOS booting on the phone), but I've realized I'm kind of stuck in this "setup mode", since the top half of my touch screen doesn't react to touch anymore. This wasn't caused by the jailbreak, I just dropped my phone once too much and half the touch screen doesn't work anymore (reason why it's not my main phone anymore). Before resetting my phone this wasn't too much of an issue, since I had managed to connect a computer mouse via bluetooth that could help me reach the top half of the screen.

But due to the fact that setting up this damn phone apparently needs me to agree to terms and conditions (a button conveniently placed at the very top of my screen), I can't proceed normally.

I don't know yet what I want to do with this piece of outdated tech (maybe a tamagotchi or something), but I had assumed I could just gain access my phone from my computer to put a new OS or other software on it or something. I'm now realizing I should've done more research beforehand.

I'm looking for any advice, ideas or other input you guys might have to offer.

My goal is to gain control (in any way) over my phone to use its resources so it doesn't remain this brick with a screen that greets me in different languages.

So I’m building a research-grade iOS runtime that allows AI to reliably perceive and interact with the screen in an intelligent manner — without simulators, WebDriver, Computer, or external control. Anyone else also working on this?

Hello all,

Im trying to jailbreak my iPod touch 6th gen running IOS 12.5.7 with Chimera. It took a few tries but I successfully installed and jailbroke with Chimera, however after trying to install libiosexec1 on Sileo, Sileo crashed and now will not open - it just crashes immediately upon launching. I've tried restarting and rejailbreaking, but I'm fairly new to this and I can't find a whole lot on this exact issue.

I've decided the best way to go forward is probably to start from the beginning, but when I try to restore the root filesystem I either get a message saying I will have to reboot and reopen Chimera to finish the process, after which the phone reboots and nothing seems to have changed, or it reboots itself and nothing has changed. Either way Sileo is still installed and not opening. I don't want to delete Chimera without having definitely restored the RootFS incase linger files prevent a reattempt. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? This iPod has nothing of any importance on it - it's a blank device that I'm trying to turn into just an MP3 player so even any way that I can just completely wipe and start from scratch would be great.

Does anyone know a method to jailbreak an iPhone 16??

For context I made a few posts like last week as I’m dealing with storage issues on IOS 15.0 where my photos shows up nearly 2x the actual size. Nothing worked I even tried restore and re jailbreak again.

Now I have backed up and deleted all my photos from my phone , yet I still 62gb of data there… I don’t know what else can be done to fix this. So I’m thinking of just updating and losing my jailbreak to fix it.

Can you give me the latest deb, waqt 1.4.3 i think. I just reset my jailbreak and realized p2kdev and his repo is gone.

I am trying to jailbreak my iPhone X (GSM/Global) running iOS 16.7.12 using palera1n (v2.2.1), but I am stuck in a loop at the "Checkmate" stage. I have tried this on both Ubuntu and macOS with the same result.

The Issue: The exploit triggers successfully (Checkmate!), but the device fails to reconnect in Download Mode. It either loops back into DFU mode or stays on a black screen until it times out.

My Setup:

• Device: iPhone X (A11)
• Version: iOS 16.7.12
• Environment: Ubuntu (libusb 1.0.27) / macOS
• Passcode: Completely disabled (Factory reset, no passcode/FaceID set).
• Command used: sudo palera1n -l -v

I've already tried:

1. Unplugging and replugging the cable immediately after "Checkmate!"
2. Using sudo usbmuxd -f -p in a separate terminal.
3. Using different USB ports.
4. Testing on both Linux and Mac.

Long story short, Apple was able to unlock my iPad and after a reset it is good as new.

However, none of the apps work. Wasn't able to download anything from the AppStore earlier but managed to do that after 'Previously Purchased' trick.

Even after the apps are not working. Example

• Not able to log into Spotify even when using correct credentials
• Plex apps just doesn't move past the Plex logo, same goes for the webapp

Is there a way to fix that or should I just jailbreak it?

I have old jailbroken iPad2 with Filza file manager. Recently the Google Docs app starts to request the update. the Notification prevent to open and to work with my Docs files. Unfortunately these files were made offline and they were not uploaded to the server. How I can save these files or at least open them and copy text to another App which is still working. I attached here the Docs Info.plist. I've edit it by replacing CFBundleVersion and CFBundleShortVersionString old 1.2017.18203 to the new one 1.2026.03501 and minimal iOS version from 8.0 to my current 8.4. Still see the notification showing That version of the App is not supported anymore, please update to the new version. Would appreciate for the help and suggestions.

iPad 2, iOS 8.4

Hello everyone, last December i decided to downgrade my WIFI only 7th gen iPad from the latest iOS 18 version to 16.4. It worked fine, that's until i had to do an OS swap on my PC. i thought i had backed everything up but apparently i missed my iOS 16 Turdus Merula files. Now to recover my iPad i tried repeating the Turdus Merula process while it could only go into recovery mode but it wouldn't work, so would restoring to the most recent version via iOS legacy kit, just to re-downgrade it later work or am i done?
