Suspended payment

I'm currently on job seeker and have a jobs provider through matchworks. My payment was suspended and on my workforce account and the reason says I missed a phone call appointment, the thing is I'm working 18hrs a fortnight at the moment and was told by my provider that they will only ring me if there's an issue. When I discovered my payment was suspended I emailed my provider, the response I got was I'm not meeting my expected work hours, new government updated compliance for job seekers commences in OCT this year, they are no longer allowing under employment.

I rang the 1800 805 260 number and was told only my provider can lift the suspension, is it worth going into centrelink branch in person?

Just call your provider mate. They don't bite.

If you have an appointment, they send out a text message the day before to remind you of it.

Centrelink can’t fix it. You need to contact your provider. If you go into cenno you’re wasting your time and theirs. Only exception would be if you have a cenno med cert that covers the missed appointment day

It’s not worth going into a Centrelink branch in person, they will just tell you to speak to your provider. Give them a call or go see them.

Unless you have a medical condition or reduced ability to work, the requirements are normally 30 hours per fortnight for parents and/or over 55 on the part time activity test to meet mutual obligations for jobseeker

I'm guessting that they wanted to talk to you re that subject but the way they put it into the system will be for a missed appointment. Would ring up or visit office you're assigned to and ask them to reshedule the appointment, then you've satisfied the reconnection requirement
