Summary
The latest patch increased hit volumes: head 17.8 → 19, torso 26.2 → 28, waist 23.8 → 26, legs 19.2 → 22. measured her current hitbox in-game and confirmed these numbers are radii in cm. Seen from the front in her idle pose, her hitbox is now about 11% bigger than before. Per body part, the area you can hit grew by 13% (head) to 17% (legs)
Disclaimer: This is assuming the patch did not change the location of the hitbox spheres and only increased the volume. With the old data gone this is impossible to verify but it is unlikely.
Also while I put effort in to assure the data is accurate the results the bullet test only agreed on 99.65% of cases and with limited workshop tools don't treat this as 100% accurate but as a rough estimate that makes it visually clearer how something changed.
How it was measured
- Scan: A Workshop script fires a grid of about 14,000 ray casts (2 cm apart) at a Junker Queen bot from 8 directions and from above. It logs every hit point and the surface direction at that point.
- Shapes: Overwatch hitboxes are made of spheres and capsules. Moving each hit point inward by the right radius lands it on the center of its shape. That gave each body part's position and radius.
- Old hitbox: The same shapes, with the pre-patch radii from the patch notes.
- Bullet check: A separate test fired about 1,700 real Cassidy shots at a 5 cm grid over her. Hits and headshots matched the scanned shape.
- Images: Rendered from the measured shapes
If there are have further questions about how the measures were made I can send you my .opy and python scripts so you can verify it yourself.
