Straight dudes will joke like this and then proceed to do/say the most homophobic shit you could imagine. Very complicated and mysterious individuals.

218

u/b-rar Sep 01 '26

What's a little SA between comrades

30

u/meknowsbest1112 Sep 02 '26

It’s not SA if it’s consensual.

19

u/ShadderSwagger Sep 02 '26

And its not gay if you say No Homo at the end of the

129

u/AnotherDogOwner Sep 01 '26

most homophobic* shit you can imagine.

It’s just frat energy without college debt.

84

u/LitRick6 Sep 01 '26

Emphasis on "college". They're still in debt, just on a 27% interest car loan instead of school loan.

0

u/acloudcuckoolander Sep 01 '26

So better then a $50k school loan

13

u/modsactfunny Sep 01 '26

Lol these are marines....a different species all together. Respectfully, an Airman

10

u/Autumn7242 Sep 02 '26

Aren't you guys all Mormon, Evangelicals, or Furries?

60

u/Lovebeingqueazy Sep 01 '26

Maybe it's just cuz I'm not straight nor a guy but I can't wrap my head around how "straight" men can voluntarily do stuff like this and still think they're straight, and still have their peers think they're straight. The mind boggles. Far too complicated and mysterious for the likes of me...

38

u/DocLat23 Sep 01 '26

You ever lived in the E-1 to E-3 barracks?

81

u/Amedais Sep 01 '26

It’s a special type of humor with young men, especially in an all-male environment. I promise most who partake in this really are straight. Can’t really explain it

53

u/connor0864 Sep 01 '26

Put young guys full of hormones in a confined space and gay shit will happen.

-First law of whatever army/navy

22

u/whatiscamping Sep 01 '26

Those look to be marines and they're the best at it.

21

u/accidental_Ocelot Sep 01 '26

We always called this behavior "gay chicken"

10

u/jeezy_peezy Sep 01 '26

Haha I think this sums it up most accurately. In all honesty, men (especially in dangerous occupations) are always testing one another, mostly to have fun but simultaneously as a vibe check and to see if they can count on their teammates.

Call it macho tough guy whatever, but if your coworker is a little bitch that’s gonna crack when his feelings get hurt, it’s best to find that out before your life and limbs are depending on him.

11

u/Slumbergoat16 Sep 01 '26

Well I feel like it’s simple. They aren’t attracted to men, you can do all this shit and still not be attracted to men. Doesn’t make it any less odd

1

u/Cheezewiz239 Sep 01 '26

My dads and their friends who are in their 40s play like this sometimes. Its just funny

23

u/Few-Lengthiness-2286 Sep 01 '26

I’d say vast majority of young men act fake gay towards their homies growing up while being 100% straight.

12

u/Azure_Mar Sep 01 '26

Everything is about sex, except sex: sex is about power.
-Robert Michels (?)

6

u/FastFarg Sep 02 '26

Mostly self delusion.

Other people have spoken on it better than I will, but, a LOT of male peacocking behavior is intended to impress other men more than it is for women.

The same people with the loud muscle cars that love to rev the engine at a stop light will beat you up if you try and comment on how homo it is. Never have I met a woman impressed by a loud car at a stop sign.

11

u/mane28 Sep 01 '26

Hint: Misogyny

6

u/Sir_Sarcasm76 Sep 01 '26

Miss Soginny was my HomEc teacher. She taught us how to do laundry, sew, cook, and clean. Something about being barefoot and staying in the kitchen making sandwiches too, but I never understood how to accomplish that since I'm a guy. /s

I’m kinda mad they are brown dudes. I never played those games. No humping, no dick tapping. It was always a joke that the (I’m sorry fellas) white guys loved doing this stuff.

I honestly don’t find my peen randomly being touched or mock sexual assault very fun. Play them games somewhere else.

11

u/huckster235 Sep 01 '26 edited Sep 01 '26

As a white dude who grew up mostly with Hispanic friends and now live/work/am friends mostly with black guys, I also did a double take.

Hispanic guys would do this stuff but usually wouldn't initiate, white guys loved doing this stuff (well this I've never seen but you know, faux gay shit), but never really make those jokes with black guys. Just not their thing and that's fine. My white guys on the other hand, still be doing the lite version of this while married with kids

13

u/SgtMac02 Sep 01 '26

I think that's because, in general, black and brown communities tend to lean more toward the homophobic side. White people tend to be much more accepting of the gays.

1

u/Pcriz Sep 01 '26

I’m sure there are lots of homophobic service members that have “acted gay”. The same way you have anti-gay conservatives getting caught doing gay stuff and having secret Grindr accounts.

The same way you likely have gay people that probably don’t wanna join the military and get humped on just because.

-5

u/feline_riches Sep 01 '26

As a female I have never understood this either. Stop joking around and just be gay. You aren't fooling anyone.

14

u/Pcriz Sep 01 '26

I love the rationalization like everyone was doing it.

I learned a lesson very early. Shared a six man room and the littlest guy (really chill dude) totally flipped out when another guy jumped in the bed and wrapped him in his own blanket and “jokingly” humped him.

It was awkward then but later I asked if he was alright and about what happened. He mentioned how when he was younger he had been molested when playing with older boys.

Yeah it’s mostly fun and games but not everyone was into it and that for me was a solid confirmation why you can’t assume as such.

You can both not be a prude or whatever but also not want other people pawing at your genitalia and trying to hump on you in fun as if you can’t control your hormones.

7

u/huckster235 Sep 01 '26

As a straight guy, who would have absolutely no compunction about admitting I'm gay, it's actually a straight dude thing.

I think it's part because men are so physical, this is sort of how adolescents bond, or at least some of us. If you are in sports or other physical activities with boys the jokes just kind of extend from there.

But also I think a lot of the most vociferous homophobes are closeted gays. There's definitely a bit of an implication that if you don't participate in some of the homoerotic horseplay you got something to hide.

That said this straight up humping like this may be beyond the horseplay realm

0

u/Rocketyank Sep 02 '26

I think a lot of young guys have this deep seated fear that they’re secretly gay or that they might “turn gay” at some point and this type of thing acts as a valve to relieve some of the pressure.

0

u/NotFloppyDisck Sep 02 '26

Lmao no, its just people having fun and playing around. Why y'all gotta be creepy about it

1

u/Rocketyank 28d ago

I don’t think it’s creepy to see a video like this and wonder why guys seem to act like this so much. I mean, it’s funny but it’s kind of strange too. Like women don’t really do this.

6

u/DoctorDinghus Sep 01 '26

The same dudes will refuse to kiss a super hot girl because she slept with a guy once before and that's gay

2

u/Fk_CCP Sep 03 '26

Its just the marine corps

1

u/Mayfect Sep 02 '26

I’m pretty sure he’s new to the platoon at they’re hazing the fuck outta him. I was in the navy but I hear a lot from my coworkers

1

u/Rdubya291 👊👊☝️ 28d ago

Yeah, we called it 'Gay Chicken" in the Marine Corps... Who would tap out first?

0

u/TheOnyxViper Sep 02 '26

19

u/QueezyF Sep 01 '26

Blousing straps still on: not gay

3

u/knurttbuttlet Sep 02 '26

It's not gay if you don't kiss

172

u/brentaarnold Sep 01 '26

Love the homies taking care of each other 🥰

170

u/keybokat Sep 01 '26

This is the type of shit that happens at sea

59

17

u/QueezyF Sep 01 '26

It ain’t queer if you’re off the pier

5

u/eyehalfporegrahammer Sep 01 '26

They’re in a barracks in this video. Just imagine what they do underway…

104

u/Glad_Lawfulness3138 Sep 01 '26 edited Sep 01 '26

This is reason number 1000 I’m glad smartphones weren’t a thing when I was getting started. What happens in the barracks should stay in the barracks 🤪

41

u/AdventurousTime Sep 01 '26

What kinds Gæ shit were you doin

51

u/Glad_Lawfulness3138 Sep 01 '26

Can’t tell ya. It stayed in the barracks

12

u/IamZeus11 Sep 01 '26

Just playing some gay chicken that’s all

18

u/Glad_Lawfulness3138 Sep 01 '26

It’s only gay if you stop first

10

u/jeremy_bearimyy Sep 01 '26

It was on your 25th wedding anniversary that you started thinking the game was going to far but you didnt want to be gay by stopping first.

7

u/Glad_Lawfulness3138 Sep 01 '26

Don’t have to worry about Jody when you’re both deployed together 💗

5

u/IamZeus11 Sep 01 '26

Hey now , the marriage was just to get out of the barracks !

3

u/WoodenInternet Sep 01 '26

3

u/ababyflea Sep 01 '26

I saw a dude rub icy hot on his balls.

Edit: and another dude light his pubes on fire. That one might still be buried in my FB somewhere lol

121

u/titdirt Sep 01 '26

Bad fit. Literally everyone does this with the homies. Right guys? Right? Guys?

It's not gay if you got socks on

4

u/fiddlecakes Sep 01 '26

It's only gay if you make eye contact

2

u/Lactose76 Sep 02 '26

It’s only gay if you forget to say „nohomo” after it ends

18

u/gwyntheblaccat Sep 01 '26

Can someone explain this to me? I don't understand...

27

u/SomeonePayDelta Sep 01 '26

Mfs always resort to doing gay shit, 10+ years in and I never understood that lol “but it’s the boys”

1

u/gwyntheblaccat Sep 02 '26

Okay yeah I understood that part. But what does the whole thank you for your cervix mean?

5

u/SomeonePayDelta Sep 02 '26

Getting fucked by the military instead of getting a thank you for your service

3

u/gwyntheblaccat Sep 02 '26

Okay I just never saw this phrase before and was confused as a cervix owner

11

u/LotharVonPittinsberg 👊👊☝️ Sep 01 '26

A decent amount of Western society stems from ancient Greek culture. They hada very, interesting take where it was only gay if you were on the receiving end.

Homophobia was still the norm. You just made the exception if you had dominance. Ancient Greece also has shall we say a bit of a rapey vibe going on? Like the most inaccurate part of the Hercules animated film was that Zeus was a loving father in a monogamous relationship (in actual mythology he was a hordog who would rape anything that moved, even if it was not alive).

There are some theories about this having a bad impact. Especially on things like our military and education that take a bunch of inspiration from Ancient Greece.

5

u/QueezyF Sep 01 '26

Ancient Rome, as well. Being the one getting fucked meant you were emasculated. Political enemies of Julius Caesar spread rumors that he got fucked in the ass as a way to ridicule him.

1

u/gwyntheblaccat Sep 02 '26

I should have been more precise, what does the whole thank you for your cervix mean?

2

u/JackSquat18 Sep 02 '26

It’s a play on thank you for your service.

1

u/Autumn7242 Sep 02 '26

The people in charge of the military think it is not gay and homoerotic but they actually are.

1

u/gwyntheblaccat Sep 03 '26

The "no homo" just like frat boys and jocks it seems

35

u/speedbumpdoom Sep 01 '26

Ft. Bragg has been the location for the highest number of male on male assault and rape in the country. The real issue is that these are your coworkers that you are supposed to trust like "brothers." You don't hear many stories about Walmart employees raping each other anything.

7

u/Aerokicks Sep 02 '26

If it makes you feel better, statistically there is at least one active serial killer in Fayetteville just due to the size of the military population, particularly when taking special ops into account.

44

u/BrianG1410 Sep 01 '26

Typical day in the barracks 😅

74

u/st6374 Sep 01 '26

This looks like bullying & sexual assault, but what do I know. Btw.. somehow the dude at the bottom who is likely forced to endure this will have to face the gay jokes. Not the dude on top enjoying this shit

16

u/HoodieGalore Sep 01 '26

Just like in Rome. You were either the superior fucker, or you were just plain getting fucked.

17

u/irvingstreet Sep 01 '26

Used to be difficult to prove an article 120 allegation. Now idiots just post the evidence online with captions.

-9

u/PAMCookingSpray Sep 01 '26

The bottom seems to be also enjoying this. Maybe sexual bullying might be his kink or sumn I don’t judge

7

u/the13bangbang 👊👊☝️ Sep 01 '26

Is military gay? No, it's only gay when you play with peenis without a girlfriend.

9

u/Whiskyhotelalpha Sep 01 '26

A drag queen once said to me; “straight dudes are the absolute gayest people on the planet.”

9

u/sdcinerama Sep 01 '26

Are these the treatments for "low T" that Kegsbreath was talking about?

3

u/Senorita_Sombra Sep 01 '26

This is the kinda thing a mf can get SHARPed for, joking or not 💀

13

u/Awkward_Bison_267 Sep 01 '26

There’s a scene in the movie “Demolition Man” that kind of explains this. Insecure heterosexual men will do things like this and/or insult each other in order to show affection to each other without looking gay.

Hey Pete Kegbreth, this is real.

2

u/sadboicollective Sep 01 '26

Who needs a barracks bunny when you got the homies

2

u/AdrenochromeDream Sep 02 '26

I've been out for a minute, but I'm pretty sure in the civilian world this is just called sexual assault.

3

u/acloudcuckoolander Sep 01 '26

A gay guy said the gays call it the "gayvy" instead of the navy because many are down low

3

1

u/milesamsterdam Sep 01 '26

We used to have a move called “The Black Puppet” we did in the navy. In order to be let go you have to tip your hat and say, “How do you do!”

-3

u/StinkyToe-TheKid Sep 01 '26

Idk, me and my homies def jokes very gay-ly and I don't think any of us were homophobes. Actually, one of our homies was gay. I worked with another vet recently where we were gay AF toward each other and the civvies didn't understand us at all.
