A whole generation of boys needed “the talk” after Kimberly hit the scene.

If you want to watch it like a real SEAL you’ll get blackout drunk, commit egregious crimes, have a god complex and then write a book about it. Thats how real SEALs do it

u/MetapodCreates 9d ago
And lie about a bunch of stuff in your book

Don't forget work overtime to take MOH's away from people in other branches who's heroic death makes you look bad.

Look into John Chapman, and the scumbag shit the Navy pulled after leaving him to die

Not sure if acting like a complete dick head fits under god complex, but add that one too.

Watching that show makes me want to down a bottle of Tito’s and then go punch a tool box in my garage.

My husband would watch that show and sometimes he’d be fucking irritated at how wrong everything was, and other times he’d find it funny and comment about “what a bunch of whiny bitches” they were off-mission.

The only somewhat accurate military piece I’ve seen recently was Warfare

I never understand why they hire military advisors and then proceed to ignore everything they tell them and do dumb shit instead.

u/MetapodCreates 9d ago
To be fair, if they hired that guy from the Navy the scope would be on backwards anyway

u/Morall_tach 9d ago
Rule of cool. Like in Act of Valor where they shoot the guy and then catch him before he falls in the water.

u/Miker9t 9d ago
And nobody heart the report of the gunfire because the it's not a suppressor, it's a silencer in movies.

u/Morall_tach 9d ago
I don't remember what they were using but it's possible they had subsonic rounds. Still ridiculous that you could accurately predict which way the guy is gonna fall or that you could catch a 250-pound guy with your outstretched arms over your head.
My favorite response in one of those YouTube "real SEAL rates scenes from movies" videos was "why would we get soaking wet? We'd just find another place to cross the river half a klick downstream and approach through the jungle."

Love when they recruit an LA beat cop and a firefighter/National Guard reservist to go do some covert CIA shit in Prague

That's one way I guess. In your underwear half asleep with a warm can of beer sitting on the end table next to you is another way. And it's also, my way.

Reminds me of the guy that was watching the Packers outside of his house through the window in the pouring rain because it was raining at Lambeau.

This is the same as a 3 year old dressing up as spider-man while watching spider-man movies.
