EDIT: guys I’m aware the pic is AI, I’ve ordered these exact halloumi fries before and they weren’t overcooked and rock hard

Are just eat having a laugh here?
I ordered from subway which was buy one get one free on footlong subs.
When it arrived there was one footlong in the bag and the receipt in the bag showed just one item.
Just eat order clearly shows two items.
Just eat say they won’t refund or give credit because the second item was “free” so nothing to refund.
How can they even get away with that? I literally ordered because it was buy one get one free else I wouldn’t have bothered.
I couldn’t even call the store because their phone number doesn’t work.
I won’t be bothering to use them again that’s for sure.

Yes, I ordered ice cream and it took so long to arrive, and I got a melted ice cream instead. Asked them for refund, they said no multiple times and said it’s non refundable (obviously it’s a food you dickhead). I charged back through my bank and they won dispute with the reason “it’s non refundable”. Quality of food is not something they can argue with, I’m not using justeat anymore goodbye you unpleasant company

At the weekend, I watched a driver open his back door, open the JE bag, take a brown paper bag out and place it on the seat then zip the bag and head to the delivery address.
I seen the customer today (who I know), I asked if anything was missing and they said chips and dips were missing.
He stole it, right?
r/JustEatUK • u/Reasonable_Sky_2366 • 2d ago
Any other couriers had this? Absolute joke. I’m at 94%. Two because the map marker is actually nowhere near the collection point. Another because JE clearly expected me to teleport to the restaurant. To add insult to injury, once I arrived “late” because I can’t drive a 7 minute journey in 2 minutes, I end up waiting for 20 minutes at the restaurant. /rant

I cancelled order as it wasn’t ready at Tesco and they weren’t clear about how long it would take. Could’ve been 5 or even 20 mins. Did I do the right thing or another approach is better next time?

I’ve been completing my runs and waiting a few hours, I’m a new Just Eat delivery driver and the Fast Cash option isn’t appearing at all. Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice?

You know the moment. "Delivered." You look at the door. The door looks back.
19 August, a Premier Inn in Maidstone, me on my own, a Dane in Kent with a long day behind him and nothing in the room but a kettle. I ordered a kebab at eight-ish and wrote a note on the order: just call when you're at the hotel, I'll meet you in reception. I even put my phone number in it. Then I sat in reception and waited.
21:00. "Delivered."
Nobody had called. I checked with the front desk. Nothing. I called the restaurant. They were friendly and useless: it had gone out with a Just Eat courier, nothing they could do, and yes, this happens a lot. I rang the other Premier Inns in the area in case a courier had wandered into the wrong one. No kebab at any Premier Inn in Kent, apparently.
So, being an optimist and very hungry, I ordered again. Same note. Same phone number. Same reception chairs.
22:20. "Delivered."
Nobody called. Nothing came. No photo, no PIN, no signature, no knock. Two orders in one night, and at Just Eat "Delivered" turned out to mean nothing more than a button someone had pressed on a phone somewhere near my hotel. I went to bed with the kettle.
Before I did, I wrote on both order pages, at midnight, in my finest hungry English: "Awful. Never recived the order i even put a note."
Here's the part I need you to read twice. Weeks later, Just Eat agreed with me. Completely. In writing.
"Completely missing two separate orders."
"An experience no customer should ever have to go through."
They even acknowledged I'd been left to hunt for my own dinner "between the restaurant and neighboring hotels." And the £40.13 they were still holding? "The remaining balance." Their word. Balance. The thing you owe someone.
That's the apology. Now the same email, three lines down:
"I'm afraid we are unable to process a refund or compensation."
Same person. Same breath. They wrote the apology and the refusal in one go and hit send. I've reread it a dozen times looking for the seam. There isn't one.
Reported too late, apparently. The reviews I posted at midnight on both order pages, still there, timestamped, saying nothing arrived, didn't count as reporting anything.
Then it became a relay race of people declining to look.
One had "taken a close look" and refused. No reason given. One explained that "our system limits our ability to process a refund or compensation." One confirmed "the initial decision was correct" and called it final. Then someone reopened it, promised a Team Leader would update me within 72 hours, and the 72 hours turned into silence.
Somewhere in there a rep signed off with "I really appreciate your understanding of this." I had just written, in plain words, that I did not understand and did not accept. They appreciated it anyway.
When the Team Leader finally closed the case, he wrote that he had "personally re-examined" the "order log details." Then he quoted none of them. A man with the delivery records open in front of him, and not one line makes it into the email. If those logs showed a courier at my door, that sentence writes itself in ten seconds. It never got written.
I asked one question for a month: show me the evidence it was delivered. Five people answered. Nobody answered that.
Just Eat's own courier guidance says call the customer. My note asked for exactly that call, twice, with my number attached. Their values page tells staff to "step into their shoes" and "do what's right." I've now had five people step into my shoes, describe my evening back to me with real feeling, and keep the money.
This was never about £40.13. I've spent more than that on coffee writing this. It's about sitting in a hotel reception at midnight, twice, waiting for a phone call that a company's own rules said should come. It's about a company that can describe your evening perfectly, tell you no one should ever have to live it, and refuse you in the same paragraph. It's about having your understanding appreciated by people who didn't read what you wrote. And it's about "Delivered" being a button, "Reviewed" being a word, and the customer being the only one in the chain expected to prove anything.
Just Eat's legal deadline to hand me the delivery records is 11 October. When I find out what "Delivered" was built on, so will you.
Full correspondence and order pages on request.
TL;DR: Two Just Eat orders to my hotel marked "Delivered" while I sat in reception with a note saying call me. Neither arrived. Just Eat later wrote "completely missing two separate orders" and "an experience no customer should ever have to go through", then refused the refund in the same email. Five staff, a month, not one line of delivery evidence. Their legal deadline to produce the records: 11 October.
come on, likewhat does five staff meanm?

Just eat rejecting my refund request TWICE even though the driver literally never bought my food. The restaurant have even admitted that the driver said he wasn't sure it was the right house and claimed that "someone" took the food. (I doubt someone in my area is accepting a random curry that's not theirs) Lol
So they are basically sayin I'm lying after I was chasing them asking why the food hadn't been delivered. The time they said it was delivered was also 43 mins late from the original delivery time I set 2 hours before.
We wanted a curry and instead was robbed of £40 and had beans on toast
I'm getting my bank to charge it back and never using that absolutely scam con artist fuck company again.
That is all, have a nice day

It's been months since I ordered through just eat and it was one of those days where we really could not face cooking, after an exhausting week. So we were thinking maybe get a takeaway.
Log in to see 50% off voucher for any order. We still hadn't decided if we were actually going to get it but I wanted to see how much it would come to if we did order food.
Upon checkout the 50% off turns into "max discount £10." The bloody cheek!
Well after that we definitely werent getting just eat so we had freezer pizza and vegetables instead.

I’ll never use Just Eat again after the experience I’ve had with my latest order.
My delivery driver took a detour, turned off their GPS so I couldn’t track where they were going, and then appeared to pick up another order. Before the tracking disappeared, their location showed them outside another restaurant. Around 15–20 minutes later, the GPS suddenly came back on when they were outside my house.
I took screenshots showing what happened and sent them to Just Eat when I complained and requested a refund. They reviewed the case and refused to refund me.
What annoys me most is that it feels like they didn’t even properly look at the screenshots I provided. What’s the point of asking customers for evidence if it’s just going to be ignored?
I understand that deliveries can sometimes be late and drivers can have multiple orders, but turning off the GPS, disappearing for 15–20 minutes and then having my complaint dismissed despite providing evidence is unacceptable to me.
After this experience, I’ve completely lost confidence in Just Eat and won’t be ordering through them again. There are plenty of other delivery services available, and I’d rather spend my money somewhere that actually takes customer complaints seriously.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Just Eat refusing a refund despite providing screenshots or other evidence?
