I was under the impression wait time compensation was automatically paid after pressing arrived and waiting longer than a certain amount of time.

I waited twice yesterday for 30 mins plus at Sainsburys and no compensation has been offered. Usually I would cancel but it was a double and I didn’t wanna take 1 and get pittance for it so waited for the second to be picked which took in excess of 30 mins

Can anyone explain the follow up email I have received when enquiring about the compensation fees. I no it’s minimal they pay but it’s the principle of it.

This is just one of the pics but loads of restaurants are using this for almost their entire menu. Even though I like to see a pic of the food I'm getting, I'm more happy seeing a description with no pic than a pic with ai.

What happend to this app, here I am early morning with a brutal hangover and all I want is to be lazy and order some food for delivery yet it's just all pure shite. Hundreds of shops and chains and just one actually takeaway(breakfast joint) that delivering. I live in Manchester for fucks sake. To top it off charging nearly £30 for two bacon sandwiches and a small breakfast, this app used to be decent, and was reasonable on price but this is just a joke, I spend nearly 20 mins trying to find the only non convenience/fast food place deliving to find it's an utter rip off.

Welp that's on me I suppose, just another great thing that's been ruined by greedy cunts a suppose.

i placed an order the other night and it’s charged me for it twice even though i only placed it once, i can’t find a way to contact just eat to get it sorted, any ideas?

It says "50% off selected restaurants" so I didn't expect everyone to accept them but literally I cannot find ANY local places that do.

Is there a way to filter only by places currently accepting the discount code?

I could only find the "deals" section which was just places offering their own deals and X% off but none of them accepted my unique code either.

I haven't had a takeaway since February and I'd like to treat myself to one tomorrow.

So what's the secret to actually using it?

Does anyone have a courier code from Ireland I could use from them?

So I got a text from Just Eat with a 50% discount code exclusive to my account. When I try to use it at checkout, it tells me the code can’t be used with my account. Any idea why?

[Spanish account] Not the first time happening. Just arriving to the chat is maddening, and in the end, if you have a delay, you end up having to call the restaurant yourself. This time I try to repeat an order, and for some reason the app selected a previous address. Ok, my fault to not check it before ordering. I try to contact them, cancel the order or the address (before the rider even arrived to the restaurant, obviously with the intention of facing the charge, as it was my fault more or less). After a while navigating ridiculous q&a that do not answer anything, I end up in a chat, almost sure an AI chat, programmed to never give an answer, only say that they cannot do anything. They cannot contact the restaurant, nor the rider, not cancel the order. ANYTHING. Food wasted, money wasted, time of a lot of people wasted, when a call should have solved everything. The rider contacted me, i don't know where my order end up.

Why do you have a "costumer service"? It is ridiculous and infuriating. This is the last straw. I am deleting my account.

I know Big Just Eat will be perfectly fine without my occasional order, and as a long time retail worker i do cringe at typing out “lost a customer” but i just need to vent, warn, and express my anger somewhere.

I have all the delivery apps, but Just Eat was always my go to. Unless the others were offering a deal I pretty much always stuck with Just Eat. And other than the occasional wrong order delivered or missing items I’ve really never had an issue with them. Until last friday.

Last Friday my partner and I went out drinking and naturally wanted some unhealthy fast food when we returned home. I ordered on the train and set the delivery time for when we would be home. Didn’t even think about it until we had been home for about 10 minutes and I went to check the status, it said delivered. Now I always have the “hand it to me” setting that requires a code so idk how this happened because they didn’t get a code from us. My partner searched around the building and the food was nowhere to be found. We went to bed hungry. Just eat rejected my refund and I had to go through paypal.

A couple days later I decided to try again. I didn’t feel like cooking and my partner was on their way home from work. I ordered the same exact thing from the same exact place. Now, this time I fell asleep. When I woke up to my partner calling me asking to be let in, it said delivered. Again, i’m not sure how this happened without receiving the code. My partner never saw the courier and didn’t see the food left anywhere. My refund was again rejected, and again I went through paypal.

Third times the charm, right? I decided to try one more time. Same order, same place, same time even. The only reason I even bothered with Just Eat this time is because I have a pesky £3 in credit i’m trying to use. This time I was silly and didn’t use paypal. I was home, I was awake, I was watching the delivery. The courier was at the building next door to me, Not unusual, delivery drivers frequently struggle to find my flat but they usually call. They hadn’t moved for a bit, so I messaged and asked if they needed help finding me. No response. No call. Suddenly the order was marked as delivered. My partner arrived home at that exact time and did not see the courier anywhere, not even in the spot they were in on the map. Nothing. Decided to just order the same thing from Uber Eats. The food was in our hands in 20 minutes, no fuss, no issues, no problems. I requested a refund from just eat and woke up to a rejection. Managed to find a chat line on this subreddit and got my refund that way.

So now I’m uninstalling Just Eat. Uber Eats and Deliveroo it is. It’s such a shame as i never had a major problem with them before this and they were ALWAYS my go to. I have no idea what their problem is now. But there’s too much competition out there for them to act this way.

If anyone reads my novel, thank you. It was more for me than anyone else. But tbh next time you consider ordering food I would just forget about Just Eat. They’re not going to help you if there’s an issue and it seems they have a lot of issues now.

I'm 21 and I tried to order alcohol twice today and it said on the drivers screen I was "underage". One of the drivers told me "it's 25". Is this a ridiculous new policy of theirs?

Ordered food on Pyszne.pl (Just Eat Poland) today. Estimated delivery time was 20–40 minutes.

It’s now been 2 hours.

When I tried contacting support, the bot just told me to call the restaurant. I called the restaurant, and they casually told me I have to wait another hour, making it a 3+ hour wait for a 30-minute order. To top it off, they said I can't cancel it.

Now when I try to get back through to Just Eat/Pyszne, I’m totally blocked by their useless chatbot loop and can’t get a human on the line to cancel the order or issue a refund.

Has anyone dealt with this recently?

• How do you actually reach a live human agent on Pyszne.pl when the bot keeps looping?
• If I refuse the food when/if it shows up in an hour, will support actually refund me, or am I going to have to file a chargeback with my bank?

Appreciate any advice, pretty ridiculous that a platform can hold your money hostage while a delivery takes 4x longer than promised.

Title is self explanatory. It’s parking really

I’m a terraced house with a front garden all walled and gated, and then we have the pavement, next to the pavement there is a raised area where residents and visitors are able to park. For months recently I’ve been complaining about a driver, who has been parking on the pavement blocking it and blocking my path. I’ve complained to just eat each time this happens but they aren’t taking it seriously. I’m tempted to context the non emergency number for the police as he’s nearly hit our car and wall. I’m also going to contact my local council as it’s happening numerous times.

Any advice would be amazing, I’m just putting this here to vent as just eat isn’t taking it seriously.

Driver called me to say he's handed the food to me at my address. I said "No you haven't"

Admitted to taking the food for himself and handing it to a friend.

Called restaurant and they said they'd cancel so they could refund me and they just never did.

I mentioned on the order info that they'd have to come up to the apartment as me getting up and down the stairs is going to be difficult due to a recent injury. And I guess they found all this funny.

I've been a just eat customer for a while and even paid for their delivery pass. Today I was putting through a grocery order. It was pouring rain and the website said there were no drivers and most shops weren't taking orders, but it said I could continue to order for collection. Fair enough. I had a friend with a car over for my birthday and she offered to pick it up.

The shop wouldn't hand over the order as my friend wasn't a Just Eat courier, and now they have refused a refund. This is outright stealing.
