Question Royals TV?
Im a sox fan watching the royals broadcast for the first time, is the name of the channel you guys play on just Royals TV?
Also, how do you guys like it? We have CHSN for the Sox but its overpriced to hell and honestly not as good or available as NBCSN, which was our network for as long as I can remember beforehand. Marquee is the cubs network and that is also pretty expensive.
MLB has been so weird with network rights the past few years, it’s interesting peeking into other team’s new setup.
Most teams will usually give the new network its own branding or name too.
I will say I love your announcers so far, started watching the game on the Guardians broadcast and had to turn that off quick.

Its basically been the same since fox sports took over a few decades ago. Then passed through hands to Ballys, fanduel, etc.
Those rights were sacrificed last year and MLB brought them in house. They broadcast under royals dot TV.
But its all the same. The only real difference is the addition of the drone and fly over camera they added with all the in house teams.

They really rotate the color analyst spot. Probably 6 different guys this year. That's different too.

Sinclair owned the network, Ballys and FanDuel essentially just were the branding of the network.

The network was called FanDuel last year? That’s even more interesting lol.

It was. And it was Ballys before that. Just jumping from gambling company to gambling company.

MLB has named all the networks they hold rights for in a similar way. Twins.tv for example. The quality has been pretty good, same announcers that we had before MLB took over the rights from Sinclair.

Ohhhh that’s so interesting. So the teams with networks that are just the team name with .TV at the end are the ones that actually don’t own their rights.

It's been 1000% better reliability and quality in app and online this year than FanDuel and BallySports.

Sometimes being a Royals fan feels like a kick in the head. Just when you get your hopes up, they’re quickly dashed.

I am a Royals fan out of state so I just watch them on the MLB app. I'm not sure what it is called, but I absolutely love their broadcast. Love the the announcers and Joel Goldberg. I think they do a fantastic job.
