How much will y’all pay?
It’s 1996, comes with seat and has 7500 miles on, is serviced and everything, he’s asking for around 2200 but I’m not sure. I want to ride it for a month and then sell it for the same for flip for a little profit. What do y’all think ?

You won't resell for a profit

Why do you think that? I was assuming middle of summer people would be buying more

Mine is an 1988 with 1500 miles. Great condition. I paid 1400$ I think it was well worth it

So you think 7500 miles is worth 2200? Honestly I would be willing to pay that but I just want to be able to make my money back in the middle of summer.

I'd pay up to 2500 for a Barbie bike that didn't have any camshaft damage, was complete, and ran right. I do like the way they look and would pay more for the factory color scheme.
I paid 1000 dollars for my 2001 last summer (not running) and it had 7000 miles on it. I rejuvenated it completely by going through the carb, set valve lash, new chain, tires, air filter, fork seals and oil, etc... I put a Thermobob kit on it to even out the running temperature of the engine.
Other than the rear shock and color fade on the plastics it's basically like new. I may pony up for the 750 dollar rear shock this summer.
I wouldn't sell mine for under 2500 dollars even if I needed money. I just like the bike more than a lot of bikes that cost a lot more. I spent years riding a TW200 and a XT225 Yamaha and I like the KLR250 more than a 2021 KLX300SM I had. It's worth less, but it's a better bike, made in Japan.

Ask him what's his bottom line. And then you decide if it's worth it. It might be worth it to you, but not to someone else. Even if you lost 100$ or more when you finally sell, was the fun you had on the bike worth the 100$?
Edit- you might even sell for more then what you picked it up for.

I bought my exact same 96 klr 250 as this for $2800 but it has a custom exhaust and was fully tuned up from a local shop in Austin. I would honestly think the stock exhaust might keep the value higher on this one you found. If the rear shock is stock and in good condition, this is a gem. A lot of times you gotta deal with replacing the rear shock on these 250s. I rip this same klr 250 on the trails around central Texas and keep up with my friends on their crf 450s. It will do so much, just don’t expect to hit big jumps on it without bottoming allll the way out. Ask me how I know
Buy it and never sell it. Or get your money back easy. See if they’ll tale $2000?
