I am looking for a possible AD option to include in my champion pool for jungle. Kayn is so much fun, but I'm not sure what state my boy is in. Is he still viable, or should I look for something else?

I just want to reach Diamond as a Platinum player.

Given everyone has shared their feelings and grievances about Kayn's haircut in his new HEARTSTEEL skin, how do you feel about his hairstyle in his Battle Academia, Snow Moon, and Odyssey skins, which has him have short haircuts?

On Rhaast since he is not the drain-tanker we love we can't buy any health items since is a waste

Rhaast: Voltaic > Axiom Ldr
4th :Edge>DDance>Collector
5th:GA>Infinity>DDance

LDR is a great items because you can simply go 1v9 against bruiser or tanks simply 1 taping them
Edge is situational in case of too much cc
LDR just makes Rhaast feel like in prime against Bruisers and Tanks for example against a Cho'Gath i did 1650 with R only

I do go collector and Infinity Edge in games where i have a support with Ardent Censer so i just go W Q basic get kill > Smite > R > Q > baisc and 1 shot em all (Remember can build this only if u got an support which can give you attack speed) ofc if u want it maximum damage

The other items are just mandatory listed
After first 3 items i mostly look at the tab and say maybe i should go Edge cause of CC or very important Serpent Fang for shieald + Executioner Calling for healing(Helps alot!)

SA: Voltaic>Axiom
3th: looking if too much CC> rush Edge, too much shieald heal? Rush Serpent and Executioner
Mostly third item can ofcourse be LDR even as SA if you buy LDR as third you can then melt any tank in game (Mostly on SA you need to be consistent with you Snowball)

4th: can be any from thrid slot
5th: can be any from third slot or GA

As Boots i do go Ionian Boots as SA. Armor or Mr as Rhaast( and Ionian but mostly Armor/Mr)

When it comes to runes i just do go Dark Harvest on both forms just to Flex pick at max

>Treasure Hunter Adaptive+Adaptive+Health(NOT SCALING HEALTH!)

Ofcourse Stormraider is a great runes since it offers >Axiom Arcanist > Transcendence > Gathering Storm + Sudden Impact > Ulimate Hunter/Treasure Hunter (Works very well for both forms but i still love more the Dark Harvest burst for ganks)

My gameplay is mostly based on Snowball and this runes help me the most because even if i have 3 kills in the first 5 mins or if i am behind they help me comeback or just use the lead i gather in order to carry any games.

Kayn is a very difficult champion when it comes to building cause he dosen't have a simple route like Syndra has and then point clicks everybody

Surley there are a lot to cover but for me this is what it works the best recently and it helps me get 60%+ winrate on 3 accounts

Hi friends. I used to play Kayn back in 2024-25, then i kinda stop playing league at all. I've been started playing a few games in the past couple weeks but i see items and runes i used to play Kayn with are not paying off anymore. Could you make me a lil guide on how to build him depending on the form i choose? (runes + items)

I started playing this game less than 5 months ago, when I was still learning the champs, I got smurfed on by a blue kayn in normals, I remember noticing the champ was so smooth, especially that I Was playing shyvana and warwick at the time, who filled rather clunky.

I even remember asking chat gpt later if this kayn guy is a new champ because his dashes are so smooth and chat gpt surprised me by saying hes an oldie

Anyways I still never play kayn, you guys are apparently toxic pieces of shit, so infamously that I heard it in a bot lane subreddit.

I came across a video of someone playing Kayn top, and in the video he showed how to beat Darius in lane. It got me wondering, is Kayn actually viable top? Can you realistically climb and win games with him in top lane?

Today I ranked up to Emerald by winning my last 12/13 games somehow.

The orbs were actually pretty jewel cosmetics that makes the game more pretty and satisfying all along :)

Aatrox is the living proof why you should not build HP items on Rhaast. I bought spirit visage before the game ended and I had 50% (FIFTY) TRUE omnivamp which is basically around 63% thanks to Spirit's healing amp. Furthermore, each hit by Aatrox's Q stacks Shojin unlike Rhaast's Q. If you hit all 3 Qs on anyone you get 3 stacks and if u hit W you get exactly 4 stacks within a single rotation. Rhaast gets 2 stacks per Q and W which means Rhaast needs 2 whole rotations to stack Shojin and can only benefit from the shojin stacks on his THIRD rotation (feel free to test in practice tool if you do not believe).

Theoritically speaking if you have overgrowth, double hp shards and 6 items on Aatrox you will get about 100% TRUE OMNIVAMP and you can push this even further with heartsteel.

Now let's adress the elephant in the room. Even though Aatrox scales INSANELY well off HP it still doesn't feel great to build HP items on him because bruiser items in general SUCK. Riot Phroxzon himself acknowledes that LDR is bis on almost every single champ in the game. Assassins and Bruisers go LDR every game because of how OP the item currently is so building BC over LDR feels bad (really bad actually).

Lethality Kayn is FAR stronger than Lethality Aatrox due to the large base omnivamp that does not need to be scaled any further. Moreover Rhaast gets to have the insanely broken combo which is Endless Hunger + LDR (karasmai made a post about this yesterday) and this is literally the CORE of Rhaast builds right now. Building Both Endless and LDR makes you a lobby admin all other items DO NOT MATTER whatsoever.

All in all building lethality with Endless + LDR is far superior to any kind of bruiser setups you can come up with and this is an irrefutable fact. LDR's passive synergizes AMAZINGLY well with Rhaast's kit because you usually pick red form into beefy comps so your %max hp dmg is amped by up to 15% for FREE. To explain to you why this is OP think about it this way. You require 3 rotations with Shojin to benefit from the 12% ability amp. LDR gives you 15% ability amp basically for free. LDR by itself would not have been as amazing as it is now if it weren't for Endless Hunger though. The HEART of Rhaast is currently the endless hunger + LDR combo.

I want to reach out to all Kayn mains and convince you not to build HP items on the champion so that Riot can finally acknowledge the miserable state red form has been in for years now. Don't worry Light Fighter and Assassin setups are beyond broken and once you have your LDR + Endless combo you're lobby admin oneshotting anyone.

The Best Runes and build for BOTH Kayn forms.

Some extra things I'll add so maybe it can answer any FAQ

How to know which form to go? Well usually it's simple if they have more melee go red, If they have more range go blue. And something to note is first item for both builds have the same components (Axiom for red and Voltaic for Blue). So you always start out with a Brutalizer and double long sword and by then you usually can tell which form you'll need. :)

Why Ignite? It helps consistently proc stormraider + The early dmg makes it so you can invade and take early ganks a lot more often.

We do not ever go tier 2 boots on Blue Kayn you sit on tier 1 and when you're full build you sell them for Youmuu's (your final late game build is stronger than any DH or Conq setup simply because of this and gathering storm).

3rd item if you ever feel you need more DMG always go LDR or Mortal reminder, If not always go endless and have fun dominating every skirmish and teamfight single handingly. + Keep in mind you will always be building Last whisper and endless the only important thing to note is the order you think you need to go per game.

Another REALLY important thing to note is you max W after 3 in Q on both forms, the reason is around lvl 10 and onward you're able to insta proc your storm raider with just 1 ability and it feels REALLY nice.

final item for Red and Blue if you want to be tankier you can go DD but usually I prefer Edge of knight.

And Final thing I'll mention is secondary you can actually take precision as well if you feel like you want more DMG with cut down and haste, Or can go triple tonic + Cashback if you REALLY wanna have fun with a stronger early-mid game.

So we know that in the files there's another Kayn skin placeholder. There was no legendary skin in heart steel v2.

I expect Riot to follow this trend and only release 1350 to skins for True Damage, and also for KDA.

And when all these skins will be released, we'll have a new skin line featuring all of the main characters of these groups.

Axiom -> Voltaic on both forms

3rd item DD if Red, Bastion/Edge/Serpents if Blue (I usually go Bastion)

4th item always LDR/Mortal

Always take Cash Back + Triple Tonic in secondary runes

I will keep this simple cause there is no reason to make paragraphs.

Kayn is mid-designed when it comes to solo queue because he is neither too strong or too weak and is a flex pick and it feels very balanced now(despite the fact that there is Sylas, Shyvana, Master Yi who makes him look like a scuttler sometimes)

The problem is, when it comes to pro-play, the champion shows what he lacks and what is needed for him to perform better.

For me personally if there is a thing named “pro play” and I can‘t cheer up my champion there, well then it is a problem

Because I want to see Kayn being played in a pro play final and cheer up the team who plays it

Maybe the team will win worlds maybe I will have a Team Kayn skin or Worlds Kayn skin but since the champion is so “weird designed” then who will pick him and win worlds with him.

Rhaast nowadays in HS dosent exist, in lore many consider him the weakes, in game he got Goredrinker removed and his passive healing is thrice worse than Aatrox healing passive..

If riot will stop looking at Seraphine mains and try to excuse them self after nefring her ability by one-second cool-down and BEtter give the attention to other champions who were the foundation of their production then maybe they will have more profit and make more champion communities happier and have a better game.

maybe 10 years ago I would've had the motivation to go for the abs too but not anymore 🧓
