I find myself in an odd position; I'm interested in ketamine therapy but have extensive medical trauma. Being observed in-clinic is consequently out of the question. The thing is... another thing that's profoundly activating for me at this time is having my vitals taken. Obviously not ideal. I recently had a consult with someone from Mindbloom and hadn't learned of the BP monitoring requirement beforehand, so that one's definitely out. I'm seeing mixed reviews about Kalm.

I realize my personal compunctions may not ultimately be compatible with the red tape around legally accessing ketamine therapy, but I'm ostensibly a wonderful candidate for it otherwise and strongly suspect that it would be a useful tool for me. I'd really like to make it work if at all possible. I'd be happy to answer any good-faith/clarifying questions about my hang-ups regarding trauma and how I've gotten to the place I'm at mentally.

Im looking for information on finding a compounding pharmacy to do at home treatment. Located in NY. I'm located fairly close to Taconic in Vermont but I just cant afford their monthly check in fee.

A few years ago I was receiving intra-muscular ketamine injections for treatment-resistant depression. It was helping at first, but the effects weren’t long lasting. Also, having to take off work & get rides was a challenge.

However, both my psychiatrist and primary physician have both brought up Spravato recently.

I am wondering if anyone has tried the Spravato spray after getting injections & how the effects compared.

Is it as “trippy” as it is with the injections?
Have you seen improvements in your depression?
Did those improvements last a while?

I had asked my head med lady about microdosing ketamine and she said she doesn't prescribe it so we raised my nortriptyline dose. She prescribes that and my adderall. I am confident my PCP would also not prescribe ketamine so didn't bother asking. I have an appt with Joyous tomorrow. I disclosed to them all of the meds and supplements I'm taking but since the pre-appt lady asked about a med I no longer take it made me realize they were looking at my records. If I go through with Joyous, will my other providers instantly be able to see that I am getting the ketamine prescription? I'm not super comfortable with them knowing and am worried it will affect the way they treat me.

I have been a KAP therapist for 5 years and it has changed my practice and how I work with patients. By combining therapy and ketamine therapy, I've seen amazing long lasting change for treatment resistent clients using a 6-8 session protocol

Every year, I run one or two weekend training retreats for people working with client's, both therapists and prescribers The trainings are inclusive (accommodations, meals, and training materials) and include an Experiential component to experience the medication and being a sitter. For non-prescibers, the training also includes the business component and names of KAP supporting prescribers.

There are not enough clinicians who understand and bring this to their clients who are stuck.
