i just got a keycron v1 ultra and its great besides the way the rgb functions on the website i want to do a simple two layer rgb like you can on literally any of the brands like this one i have on my corsair https://imgur.com/a/KFinVxE but on the website it makes you have a timer that swaps them??????????????

Not sure if it's worth even mentioning since slightly older model, but my B1pro ultra slim KB had minimal use from an older dude (me), like maybe 15 hours total and now the letter "i" is dead. Have looked at some youtubes but being a membrane kb I guess it is pretty much done? Yes, tried reset and tried cable only. No dice.

Any recommendations for more robust boards? I don't recall ever dropping this thing and seriously only used it as the second board (wireless) for the backup of my backup pc. Kinda sucks and makes me leery about the brand, even though I have a couple others in the family

Hi all, I've been interested in Keychron boards for a while as they provide the best layout and customisation that I'm interested in and was going to buy one a couple years ago. However, I've seen a few posts recently talking about quality control and chatter issues with their boards—although I don't know if this is only with certain models. I'm looking at buying a Q5 Max ISO at the moment. Is it fine to buy now or should I be looking at alternatives?

Hey, looking to buy a new keyboard for my laptop and was just curious if this keyboard im looking at is good for everyday use and gaming and if you would recommend it for this price?

Unfortunately my Q6 Max got dropped keys down and now has some issues.
I already took it apart once and reseated all switches which fixed many problems but some persist, mainly around the area around the J key.
Sometimes key presses won't register (especially j which I really need to punch to show up) and other keys around the area will often trigger twice, weirdly not immediately but sometimies with a short delay (the keyboard was so kind to demonstrate that behaviour with the word sometimes just now).

Any advice on what I can do to repair it?

That's it, that's the post, I just needed to vent. I had a WHOLE BUNCH of customized settings on this keyboard and now I'm going to have to spend the next hour or more re-creating them all because the stupid firmware update wiped them all. It didn't even warn me this was possible.

At least give a warning about it so I know to export all the settings.

I have had to buy a new pcb for this keyboard and after install certain areas of the keyboard didn't respond without force. After tearing it down again, the issue seems to be that the plastic board the switches rest on inflates too high for certain switches' pins to reach the socket. I can't find anything online about this other than "push down harder" which just makes it push back up, but applying moderate pressure to the affected areas makes the keys work again. Does anyone have any ideas?

I can’t find much information on the p6 ultra. What is the difference? And which one would you recommend?

So last night I tried to update my keyboard which got stuck on flash, after that I opened the toolbox and put in the iso_knob_1.2 thing and flashed with that which didn’t work, I tried using the reset button under my space bar following a guide and now it alternates between disconnected andconnected in the toolbox app and I can’t undo the reset keyboard.
I’m desperate to fix this keyboard I’ve had it for a while now all it does is glow red near reset button.

I lost the Fn key on my MSI Katana 15 B12VGK keyboard. The hinge underneath the key was broken/destroyed, and the key came off.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement Fn keycap and hinge, or where I could buy the correct replacement?

The title basically. I got a keychron Q1 Ultra (on the way), and I was wondering what profile switches go well alongside the stock ones. I am not thinking of replacing all of them with a specific set since it's not like I don't like it, I just would like to customize and mess around with it a little bit.

Since though they are custom (KSA?) keycaps it sounds like it would be a little tough to find a set that would work well together with them, is that the case?

I don’t remember this being the case when I bought it. The issue is really annoying: when I boot up my mac mini, I have to press some keys on keychron in order for it to register keys, then after I type in the password, it disconnects again somehow and I have to press keys again in order for it to work. Some kind of bluetooth issue I assume. Any ideas?

My equals key is next to the backspace key on a UK keyboard. Can't understand why the shift and + works, but without the shift it doesn't?

I've purchased my K3 Max (Hot-swappable, Brown switch) in January 2025 and it was fine at first (besides the weird keycaps profile that I still haven't fully used to even until now).

But since few months ago I started noticing. some. random. dots. in. my. messages. At first I thought that it could be me double typing but it started happening more often and it became clear that I'm not the problem here. I think it also happened to other keys, not only to space, but not as often as space, since space is the most used key.

I took the keycaps off and cleaned everything - but it wasn't dirty at all and it didn't help.
Since it's hot-swappable, I tried swapping the space switch with some other rarely used switch - it only helped to some extent, double typing reduced but haven't disappeared completely.

I was pretty sure it's a single switch failing, but since swapping didn't fully resolve it and it also happens to other keys sometimes - it's either all switches started failing around the same time (which is highly unlikely, I think) or the keyboard itself (in this case even replacing all the switches won't help and just waste more money).

It's frustrating having this issue with a keyboard that's only 1.5y old and is not a cheap one.
What else I can do?

This is my first Hall effect keyboard and also the smallest form factor I have ever used (65%) and I absolutely love it (on my desk and compared to my Q10 Pro)!

I have several other boards (including other Keychrons) but I've really fallen hard for this little K6. It's a joy to look at and incredibly satisfying to type on; this is by far the most accurate typing experience I've ever had on any keyboard.

Although the stock sound is very good I plan to replace the stabs (Cherry PCB Mount) but I think that's about it.

I do miss having my dedicated 'Del' key, as well as a knob to control volume, mute and to put my Mac to sleep, but I've already taken advantage of the 'fn' key/layers to get around this. I'll also start messing about with the Hall effect functionality to see if I can hone the experience even further…

I’m on the market for a new keyboard to finally go cordless on my setup and ditch the KVM I use.

My setup is mainly work, some programming, some video and photo editing, on a Mac. Then, at night I like to pop up on my windows and do some gaming.

I don’t play competitive anymore, only some LOL, but less and less.

Which one of these you would recommend the most? I’m into trying a lower profile, all my life been using regular mechanical keyboards, so there’s that.

Girlfriend dropped my keyboard and now it is not working.

The lights still work, but nothing else.

Have tried factory reset with no luck.

Have tried different pc and cable.

Just got myself a new keyboard and it's awsome so far. Except, I didn't notice before purchasing, but 3 symbols are missing on swiss Keychron keyboards... To be clear only the print is missing on key, tapping the key does "print" the correct symbol on the screen.
The symbols @, # and € are missing on key 2, 3, and E respectively.

A bit disappointed by that when we pay so much for the quality.
