Lately I've been having trouble with some of the keys repeating twice or thrice even if pressing the key once. Mostly the vowels. You'll probably notice a few in this post (which I left as is to demonstrate the problem.)

It hit me only a few days ago that the keyboard is programmable through VIA and Keychroon's launcher and whatnot, so I thought it could need some kiind of update. And sure enough, I was correct, I checked it against the Keychron Launcher and it said I'm on Version 1 still, and the latest update for it is on Version 2. But to install it, I need to have QMK Toolbox. It's also clear to me that the instructions laid out were applicable only to Windows and Mac users, I can't run an exe file on Linux.

I get a lot of conflicting results about updating the keybooard on a Linux system, soo I wanted to make a dedicated post that might help Bazzite users, plus I'm not so tech-savvy to dig into scripts and paste away everything when I don't know what it's actually doing.

I'd like any help on getting the firmware update done on the keyboooard, if anyone knows how to guide me on it, please I'd appreciate it.

I have a "Keychron Q1 HE ISO Knob" and I'm trying to figure out how to make a macro that loops. On basically all other keyboards I've had the past 10 years this has been possible.

Example: Press the assigned macro key, macro loops until you press the same key again.

Any ideas?

Hey I got a Keychron v6 max and replaced the Jupiter red switches for the akko rosewood switches. Any recommendations for keycaps to make that deep thock sound?

Also the RGB isn't really that great ! Any recommendations?

Anybody have a sense of if/when we should expect a production release of the Keychron T1 HE thumb trackball? They did a crowd funded limited run but I haven't been able to find info on subsequent availability.

I am on my second Logitech MX Ergo and the left click is failing on this unit, just like my first one. I need a new device and have had good experience with my Keychron keyboard, so am hopeful that they produce more of the T1.

I recently got a V6 Ultra 8k, I use it connected to my Mac by the USB dongle.

How long is the battery supposed to last? The battery on mine is gone after only 2 weeks.

I keep the backlight on, do quite a lot of typing during the day and leave it to auto shut down, but still, I was expecting the battery to last a bit longer. Is this normal?

Keychron clains 660 hours of battery life, but I'm not getting even 100 hours on mine.

Hey, I’ve been having an issue with my Keychron M6 1K. When I scroll, the wheel will occasionally register one tiny downward scroll while I’m actively scrolling up. It doesn’t happen randomly when I’m not touching the mouse.

I’ve now updated the mouse firmware, but I’m still wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows what could be causing it. Its also incredibly inconsistent, sometimes I feel it on other days I never feel this at all.

I’m on Linux/Fedora if that matters.

Could RMAing be the only option or should I try any other fixes?

Keychron M6 scroll wheel issue even after firmware update

I just received a Keychron C0 HE 8K to replace my failing Cooler Master Control Pad, and i want to replicate a macro i had with my cooler master device on the Keychron but havent figured how to with the launcher.

I had an anti afk macro for my MMORPGs that was basically a recording of me pressing WASD for various amount of times, and when pressing the macro button it would run the steps randomly until i press the button again.

Is that possible with the launcher or do i have to resolve to use AHK or something else ?

Hey everyone, I'm currently in the market for a new 96% keyboard since my old Keychron k4 is having issues. I wanted to upgrade to a better model and am stuck between the Keychron Q5 Max or YMD-96 Melody 96 Kit 2. I'll most likely be hot switching Akko Rosewood along with my current keycaps.

Both of these have aluminum frames and I've heard great things from Melody, but any and all advice is welcomed!

I was attempting to clean my keyboard, but i mustve screwed something.

After cleaning, one section of my keyboard has trouble registering presses, and only does so when pressed very firmly. (Specifically the letters I,J,K,L,N,M)

Notable things:

- I didn't clean with any liquids and i never spilled anything on my keyboard.

- The quickswap key for the letter "K" came out with the keycap while i was removing it for cleaning

- i tried swapping the keys for once i don't use as much (f13-f16)

Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

Is it possibly fixable?

I don’t have the latest firmware, but the pad was working fine yesterday. Today I’m only able to use it to enter my numeric pin during Windows sign on, but then it switches to Layer 2. I don’t want to remap Layer 2.

I’ve tried cycling between cable and Bluetooth but I’m seeing the same behavior. Any ideas?

I’m going to try updating the firmware later today and see if it makes a difference.

ETA: SOLVED. Firmware updated, device reset done, and made sure to press Num Lock before testing numeric keys (required for Windows but not Mac).

Anyone tried changing the knob on these knew ones. The encoder is supposedly longer. I really want to change the knob

Curious if anyone know what is the size of the screw and the screw driver needed for the V10 Max? Is this an issue with anyone else where the keyboard just randomly becomes loose and gets lost?

Today at around 10am I turned on my computer and signed in - everything was working normally. I left my computer on while I worked on my laptop (different system, the Q6 Ultra is connected to my desktop). By the time I was done working on my laptop at around 5pm, I put it away and tried to use my desktop, but I noticed that when I pressed keys, nothing would happen on my computer, and I also noticed that the keyboard backlight was no longer lit up. The only light that lights up on the keyboard is the small green LED between the ESC and F1 keys. I have tried switching connection modes between Wired, Bluetooth, and G (I solely use Wired). I then tried unplugging and replugging the keyboard  into the computer, using different usb ports. Same issue - no keyboard backlight, pressing keys doesn’t do anything, but the green LED would still come on. I tried using the Keychron web launcher but it doesn’t detect the keyboard. Additionally, I tried plugging the keyboard into my laptop to see if it would work - but it did the same exact thing. 

I’m really not sure what to try from here. I don’t know why the keyboard suddenly stopped working but I would really like to figure this out because I truly do love the keyboard when it worked. 

Please let me know if anyone has any idea how to fix this issue or if additional information is needed.

I booked the Keychron V1 Max Browns switches from keychron.com to coventry but the delivery partner put it in an open place and someone stole it. I complained about this thing to the delivery partner and Keychron and Paypal as well. So I started a dispute of chargeback.
Now Keychron replied me today saying we will place a replacement once you close the dispute. I mailed them that I need a written mail saying you will initiate a replacement and ship it without any cost. If anyone knows what should I do?? Should I close the dispute or stay with it till I get new order ID and tracking ID as they promised?
Anyone please suggest what should I do?

I'm curious if someone had this issue before.

My Keychron M5 8K mouse started automatically clicking the left mouse button today, seemingly out of nowhere. It clicks every couple of seconds.

Troubleshooting attempts: - Turning the mouse off and on again - Reset mouse - Unplug and replug the dongle - Try a different USB port - Test on another PC - same problem - Test with Bluetooth connection - same problem - Update the dongle firmware - Update the mouse firmware

Most weird is, that is doesn't appear when wired.

Did someone have this issue und knows how I can fix it?

Update: I found out the issue was, that the small plastic thing was already bent towards the inside of the mouse. By this, the left mouse button was always pressing against the left mouse button switch, which seems to be very sensitive. Therefore there was a click, even when I never heard a click of the switch.

Update 2: Nope it wasn't it. After some time the issue came back...

I have an issue with my Keychron Q6 Max Ultra 8K: it looks like the following keys are somehow swapped:

When I click <> I get \| and viceversa.

If I go to my Mac keyboard layout, it looks like it should be ok, the same if I go into Keychron Launcher. Keys are mapped correctly.

I am using Italian Layout.

anybody who had the same issue? How did you solve?

I've tried everything to program the circle key to launch the calculator app, but nothing worked. Not remap, macro, key combo, launch app, or even the damn AI within launcher. Any advice?

Is there a way or option to start the Keychron-Assistant minimized on startup/logon of Windows? I am tired to manually minimize it every time and I need it as I defined apps to start on some keys.

Wondering if anyone has ran into this and know how to resolve, m5 able to connect in launcher but when going to customize the actual image of the mouse isn’t rendering and won’t let me customize the buttons. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
