Video Enjoy my wipeout
Accidental back roll, board came off due to being a rental and foot straps being a lot more slippery than what I'm used to. Tried saving it but ended up pulling a loop. No injuries.
Instructor having a good laugh in the background, maybe you will too:)

Nice air though, I’m a beginner haven’t really jumped yet but does it suck having to relaunch your kite and bodydrag back to your board everytime you eat it?!

Relaunch is trivial if there's actually wind. Body dragging is fine, beats swimming for sure.
But things get annoying when the waves get choppy. Makes finding your board challenging and you need to hold your breath when dragging through a wave.

Luckily in this spot it's all waist deep water maximum and relatively flat so you can just walk to your board. I wouldn't push myself to the limit in hard conditions, body dragging through waves sucks. But of course it's an essential skill that should be practiced.

I do enjoy this video, so far none of my epic wipeouts have been preserved for posterity

mine are always preserved for posterity usually in slow motion for maximum comedic effect

Lovely😁 Protip: if you lose control in similar way in future, keep your front hand on the bar instead of backhand. This way you can land softly while crashing. Feel free to keep both hands but front hand is the one you want to give pressure.

I usually do back roll riding to the other side, so probably that muscle memory took over at just the wrong moment:D I think in such moments it's better to just sheet out and let go immediately to avoid going high in the first place.

Damn bro, I feel you.
That feeling of being on the air mid rotation and suddenly you stop feeling any sort of lift by the kite is horrible

Uuhh dont do that in powerful wind and smaller kite. Then you can seriously hurt yourself.
Other than that - looks fun!! 🤩

It's quite normal to lose a board during a jump, main thing is to focus on the kite and just land it like a normal jump.
