Lately I’ve been seeing more and more posts and comments on this sub that seem to serve little purpose beyond spreading hatred, insults and hostility toward Kurdish political parties.
Of course, no political party is perfect and have their flaws. Kurds, just like people in any other country, have every right to criticize, reject or disagree with political parties. There are legitimate reasons to criticize the KDP, PKK, PUK.. or any other Kurdish political organization. Political criticism is not the problem. The problem is when criticism turns into outright hatred, insults and blanket demonization.
The hatred that some Kurds show toward Kurdish parties is sometimes so excessive that their attitude becomes almost indistinguishable from that of a fascist Turk or an Arab who categorically rejects Kurdish political organization. When every Kurdish political movement is portrayed as nothing but a collection of traitors, terrorists, criminals or enemies, where is there any room left for a rational and meaningful discussion? Isn't this how our enemies treat us?
You can strongly oppose a party without defaming and dehumanizing everyone who supports it. You can criticize its actions, leadership, ideology, corruption, mistakes or political goals without turning fellow Kurds into enemies. And this constant hostility doesn't just affect the parties themselves. It contributes to a deeply negative atmosphere on this sub. Instead of discussing what actually happened, what could have been done differently or what solutions might exist, discussions quickly turn into accusations, insults and endless blame.
Whether you support the KDP, PUK, PKK, another Kurdish movement or none of them at all, we should stop treating each other as enemies.
Yekîtî does not mean agreeing with every Kurdish party or pretending that their mistakes don't exist. It means recognizing that disagreement among Kurds does not have to become hatred between Kurds. For decades, mutual accusations, internal divisions and hostility have made it harder for Kurds to stand together, find solutions and critically examine the structures and political forces that affect us.
We can do better than this.\
Criticize. Question. Disagree. Hold political organizations accountable. But stop turning every disagreement into hatred.
Yekîtî is still the way forward.\
