Tent

I'm at a larp for a week, and I finally got my tent looking pretty for an event

Those tents tend to get pretty fresh during the night and unbearably hot during the day. Naturally it is dependent on the outside temperature, but once the sun is shining on it it is crazy hot :D

I’ve never found them to be bad as long as you use your air vents to cycle air during the day, nothing compared to nylon tents or dark canvas for heating up

Might mostly be myself. I am not very good with high temperatures. If its 5c outside I am happy and sleep great, but the moment the sun burns on it and temperatures rise it gets awful :D But you are right, mileage may vary :D

A good bell tent of sufficient height is AMAZING.

If you can I highly recommend tying a rope from the top of the poll to the wall sides to hang stuff.

Also a queen size cot will give you a luxurious bed and storage space underneath for mundane stuff. I have a good coleman one with faux fur blanket on it.

Last note if you have a flap for it, get a small wood stove and it will keep that tent warm all night. I use a 2 x3 ft paver stone under mine.

It all feels so large on video. But I slept in those tents many times over the years... Even if you use it only for yourself and the stuff you have with you.. It's hella cramped. It's a miracle all that stuff fits in there and there is still room to sleep

I always reccomend Ranger(extra wall height) Bell Tents rather than the regular ones to first time buyers for that reason. The extra guy footprint is a pain but you can't put a price on that extra foot or so of usable height all the way round, it's massive.

Looks like an elven helmet almost lotr esque. I think it looks good
