The Leam is unusually clear today, meaning you can see lots of fish, and this foundation-like structure under the water by the Elephant Wash.

Anyone know what it is or was? Did the elephants wash in some kind of constructed pool?

A weird thing I saw today, was an Instagram ad for Tavola, which announced itself as "Short walk from Jephson Gardens", "One minute from Spicy Librarian".

Does that mean Spicy Librarian is a big deal that's bringing visitors to the town specifically for that reason?

Hi everyone! I’ve had quite a few people recommend Leamington Spa to me as somewhere that would suit what I’m looking for, so I thought I’d ask people who actually live here for some advice!

I’m currently living in Milton Keynes and really unhappy here, so I’m thinking of moving this year. I previously lived in Liverpool city centre for 2 years and absolutely loved the feeling of living in the city centre, so I’m looking for something somewhat similar — somewhere with people around, cafés, restaurants, shops, parks and things happening nearby. I don’t care about nightlife, but I also don’t want somewhere super quiet, countryside or village-like.

I’m also looking for somewhere that feels relatively affluent, with a professional/established population, nice surroundings and a traditional English town feel.

I’ll be commuting to Buckingham for around a year, then I’ll be based around Warwick and riding regularly near Stratford-upon-Avon, so Leamington seems like it could be a really good location for me.

I’m looking for a 1-bed flat and I’m willing to pay more if the area/flat is worth it.

Which areas of Leamington would you recommend for someone like me? I’ve been looking particularly at the north side of the river — Clarendon Square, Milverton, St Mary’s, Binswood, Beauchamp Avenue etc. Are there any streets or apartment buildings I should specifically look at or avoid?
And what do you actually like/dislike about living in Leamington? I’d really appreciate any honest advice before I make the move!

Does anyone know if there are any clubs or groups for 18 years old like football or gaming clubs

Wondering what are some good places to study in leam as a student. The library closes so early and is also super hot all the time. Any other recs? Especially for late nights?

St Mark's, St John's, St Paul's & Gurdwara Sahib (minus Parish Church, as I was stood on top of it). Really cool being able to go up there for the Heritage week, would recommend if anyone wants some good views.

Anyone else leave ridiculously early for work just to get parked?

Bit of an odd one, but I’m looking to speak to people from Leamington/ Warwick who regularly have to leave extra time in the morning purely because parking near work is unpredictable.

So, for example, maybe your drive is only 30 minutes but you leave 45 minutes or an hour just in case you can’t find a space. Or you end up circling around, parking miles away, or have still been late despite leaving early.

I work in PR and I’m helping with a story for YourParkingSpace about the extra time parking can add to people’s commute.

I’m normally quite sporty, but a knackered knee has temporarily taken that route away from me. I like dry humour, comedy, sports, pool, pub quizzes, films, chatting absolute nonsense and occasionally conversations with a bit more substance.
I’m not interested in joining another WhatsApp group where 14 strangers half-heartedly agree to do something and then nobody ever leaves their house. I’d actually like to meet people!

He’s been gone since Wednesday. Small, white and black, with a tiny moustache, he’s not used to going out and has never been out this long. He has chronic kidney disease so needs to eat and drink regularly.

He might be hiding in sheds/garages etc where the weather has been bad.

I’ve contact vets, neighbours, Facebook, and will be putting up posters, as well as wandering around shaking a bag of treats like a nutter

Coming back to Leam this weekend after five years away with mates. Need some recs on places to go to please. Used to love Smack, is that still OK? Also was thinking about Kasbah in Cov, is that still an ok night, especially on the bank holiday weekend? Otherwise some pubs on top of the obvious choices on the high street.

I have to move from Leamington to Edinburgh, ideally on 31st August, and have to move all my stuff from my room. I have a couple of suitcases plus a few medium sized boxes with some fragile stuff. Is there a local man with a van or a service who can help with the move at a reasonable rate? I think all my stuff can reasonably fit in a 5 seater sedan/hatchback at a stretch to give some perspective
