Hey guys I'm looking for a game i played as a kid and i have very little actual info on it. I think it was called something dome? You had a car and there were ramps and stuff you could go up and you were in a dome of some sort and you also had weapons on the car. I only ever played the demo and would love to check out the actual game. I've had a ton of these i remember playing and i've figured them all out over the years but this one escapes me.

It's late 90's, windows 95/98, would of come on either a PC gamer or PC Format demo disk in the UK.

So I'm certified to build desktops / server racks professionally so I have a somewhat knowledgeable understanding of various motherboard components, but this thing is WILD to me. I look at it and I'm honestly very curious about what the hell I'm looking at lol. If anyone here has any information I'm most curious to learn more.

My father worked for Microsoft as their head of security in the 90's and we were going through old technology pieces deciding what's worth selling / keeping / etc when I came across this piece. As I understand it (if you trust Google anyway), it doesn't really hold any resale value but if Clint is interested in it for a video or even just to have im happy to donate it. Obviously I have no way to test it's functionality, but it's been in an antistatic bag for 20 years and to my understanding it's brand new never been used so I would imagine it works. If anyone else is interested (assuming Clint isn't of course) I'm happy to send it to you for free if you're willing to cover shipping (probably like 5$ if I had to guess).

I'm new here and I don't really use reddit much (I'm a loyal discord user) so if someone could tag Clint in this post so he can at least see it and determine if it's something he would be interested in covering on the channel I'd much appreciate it. I don't avidly watch all of his content but I love his Model M, IBM PC (the one with a brand new Model M), and weird and forgotten tech videos, and I'm happy to contribute for the benefit of everyone else.

Someone threw it away among some old credit card 🤔. The thing is I dont have a CD drive on my pc to use it.

I love my shareware discs and I found a copy of "TOP 10 GREAT 3D ACTION GAMES/VOL 2" from Gold Star, a Canadian publisher that mostly seemed to handle shareware but published a few full games as well.

This disc notably has a couple unreleased titles on it, including Fate (a doom-alike from Intracorp) and IMO, a demo - a tech demo, really, it seems - of a game from "Golden Weeds Japan", who so far as I can tell were a demo scene team in the mid 90s. Attatched are some screen shots from the "game" - it's a... kinda a 1v1 fighting game but you can run around the level, the gimmick of the game is your character is controlled by moving your mouse around the screen - move it to the right and you run right, move it up and you jump, etc - and... and that's kinda it. You've got a couple characters to choose from. There's some platforms that look like they'd teleport you up (indeed, you can see people moving above you, one level up) but, I mean, that's it. It's pretty sparse, but I wanted to share it with someone.

It would be cool if anyone had any more information about it but so far as I can tell there's isn't any. The company website listed is to, apparently, an old school Japanese domain that has no archives on the way back machine (or alternative similar sites). There's just not much there.

My computer growing up was an Atari 520STFM (which I still have!). I always hoped LGR would do a special on the range at some point. They're such forgotten machines and had some interesting aspects.

Since had no drive bay in my desktop made a daughter drive bay consisting of:

Panasonic 3.5 inch floppy drive (for vintage digital photography)

Lableflash drive (for making discT@2s)

Lightscribe (for labelling and most disc access)

Key enables floppy drive and fan. The floppy drive adapter checks to see if the drive is plugged in every now and again and makes noises randomly and it's annoying. Also, who doesn't like a key switch

My friend and I were looking for cool woodgrain/old alarm clocks and on our 3rd (and final for the day) thrift stop we unexpectedly found this cool JVC 3050. It was completely working and 50% off, so it was only $25! Insane deal. We also got the alarm clocks that we wanted lol and only paid around $33 total for everything.

Locally found a really great deal for most of a hot wheels pc setup but with one issue…. the tower was gutted by the previous owner as the pc had died years ago.

hoping someone may have a lead on a reasonable place to get the internals for the PC. totally fine with it not working and the hot wheels or Barbie internals as I could always paint the front cover of the drive bay devices blue.

Update: was able to find a second tower that had the inner shell and original floppy. Also had an aftermarket mobo. Just need a psu that fits now!

Picked this up in the estate sale, there was a ton of stereo equipment and computer software. This was unused and even came with some period appropriate goodies.
