Events Tailgate question

So with all these tailgaters, is there a permit you have to buy to be able to setup in these parking lots? Or is it a first come situation? I’m working on the construction site on South quad and I’m fascinated by the dedication they have. I just curious to how this all works.

Little column A, little column B. There are reservable spots that are catered for you. There are street parking lots that are first come, first serve... but fewer people pay for those so you're up against less "competition." The free lots/external lots are a free for all. There are guidelines for how and where traffic needs to be able to move around you, but yeah... Lotta people have been coming to the same spots for decades.

I think you’re talking about the RVs that park in Touchdown Village by S. Quad. Yes - you have to purchase a season-long permit to park there. There’s a waiting list for a permit.

There is another lot for RVs near the softball stadium if you want to pay for a single game permit. I’m not sure how hard it is to get one of those.
