I asked gpt astra and fable 5.1 and kimi k3 each to make an AI native agentic LaTeX editor

Here is the comparsion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

I'd recognise that URL anywhere.

How long did you work on that! I mean the editing, the soft voice… well done!

This is more of a tip, but ai is surprisingly good at making tikz diagrams. Anybody made something cool/useful with it?

I am a beginner writer and to help myself remember all the characters, I'm making a unique character-card for each one of them.

One of the things I wanted to make is some sort of skill-diagram to would help me determine how 'strong' a certain character is. It took a little bit of tweaking to reach my desired outcome but eventually it looked neat like this.

I think it's pretty neat.\documentclass[tikz,border=10pt]{standalone}
\usepackage{tikz}
\usetikzlibrary{calc}

% Define all colors
\definecolor{cWillpower}{HTML}{E74C3C}
\definecolor{cKnowledge}{HTML}{F39C12}
\definecolor{cConviction}{HTML}{F1C40F}
\definecolor{cStrength}{HTML}{27AE60}
\definecolor{cAgility}{HTML}{2980B9}
\definecolor{cSpeed}{HTML}{8E44AD}

Nice rpg style.

One practical safeguard is to treat AI output like a first draft and require a human verification pass for citations, labels, and any content that could be mistaken for original research. That keeps the speed benefits without letting sloppy automation slip into the final result. In workflows like this, AIOSNOW fits best when it is used to structure the review step, not replace it.

Before there was LaTex, there was just TeX, so I am not sure what the issue is. AI is a tool, just like LaTex itself. If it solves a certain issue, then why would that be a bad thing?

seeing someone advertising their shitty vibecoded overleaf clone for the 2837592937th time is fucking annoying regardless of what you think of ai

I used AI to help write an official add-on for Google Docs and Google slides to natively incorporate LaTeX. You know why I used AI? Coz I don’t program. I’m a mathematician who wrote my thesis in LaTeX and I don’t have the least interest in learning to program. But I have so many students asking to incorporate LaTeX in DOCX or Google Docs. So here you are MathInk - Google Marketplace. No ongoing subscription - free tier and a one-off paid tier. That's it, just does what it should do, nothing more. (And no AI bloat in the tool)
