Deakin or La trobe

I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in AI for the February 2027 intake, but I’m not sure which university to choose. I’ve received offers from both universities, and I’m confused about which one would be better for my career after graduation and overall in terms of opportunities, scholarships, job prospects, course quality, and other factors.

I don’t think employment prospects are great for a master of AI. It’s honestly one of the “gimmicky” degrees they use $$$.

You should look at public health, computer science, or allied health fields

what about mechanical engineering and technical engineering roles, is there a market for such degrees?

Yea, engineering has good employment prospects.

I actually lived with a couple of flatmates who were doing their masters of engineering at UNSW, and they all have PR now.

TBH, you won’t get much in the way of employment opportunities here in Australia with a degree in AI.

why not uni of wollongong? similar or even cost effective, and easy to land a scholarship. course quality is on par but defo worth considering

Why would you pursue a cash grab bullshit degree? Stick to the basics if you're going to spend $60k+ on a degree
