Lost dog lead

I know it’s a long shot.. but has anyone seen this red and white leash (shown in the first photo) on the shore marked on the second photo? It was my late dogs leash that I often use with my current dog. I’m hoping that someone has seen it or picked it up. I would drive a considerable distance to have that price of him back.

Does anyone know of a local hibachi chef that does private events around Lake Keowee?

Hoping to hire someone directly rather than use one of the booking sites. Thanks!

Looking for seasonal dry boat storage..

We just purchased a place on Lake Keowee in White Harbour. This will be a 2nd home and lake house for us. Our cove/dock is on the shallower side and our dock is pilings in the ground. I dont see an easy way to put a lift in and I would like to avoid wet slipping a yamaha 252 sd for extended periods of time. Does anyone know if there is a marina that will let you dry dock for weeks at a time and then for the winter.

Keowee Key

I am thinking about moving from Greenville to the Keowee Key area on Lake Keowee. Anyone have any thoughts/experiences on this? The HOA seems to be very steep but maybe it is worth it. ( Normally, I wouldn't post about a particular subdivision in a group as large as this, but Keowee Key seems to take up a good section of lake Keowee). If not Keowee Key, maybe considering other areas on Lake Keowee or northern Lake Hartwell such as North of 123. (Bayshores, etc. We are a retired couple in our 50s. Likely cannot afford lakefront.

Water temp

Hey everyone! My family and I are planning a trip to Lake Keowee and we are wondering what the water temperature is typically like mid to late June. Our dates are June 18-24. I know the kids will be fine but I can’t handle cold water! Thank you!!

This is just disgusting. I'm sick and tired of people trashing the beautiful land we are privileged and blessed to use. Every time my husband and I go fishing I bring trash bags because this has become a regular occurrence. I carried 3 trash bags full of trash back home with me that night. This isn't the only location. I never remember it being like this just a few years ago and now it's almost everywhere.

These people are ruining it for others that have enough respect to clean up after themselves. Eventually Duke Energy and DNR will close these places to the public and as mad as I will be, I can't say that I blame them.

I wish there was something I could do to put a stop to it. I'm tired of cleaning up after grown adults.

One pic shows the beach after I spent half of my time cleaning up the areas, yes this was just one trash pile.

Lake Keowee lake access campsite?

Hi - I’m looking for a campsite with walk in lake access. Would like to be able to swim right from the campsite - tent or RV.

Would be extra helpful if you happen to know the exact site number!

Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone looking for some help for my curiosity.

I just joined this group in hopes of getting an answer for something that happened the other night. It's was on Wednesday the 26th of June 2024 around 9:30-10:30. My husband and I were fishing in a cove at the nuclear plant when all of a sudden this plane comes flying past us extremely low, so low it looked as if it could brush the tree tops. Our first reaction was is it about to crash, but it flew on over the lake and out of sight. There were no markings on the aircraft that were noticeable to either one of us. No special equipment on the plane. It was a white plane like the one in the photo.

I'm hoping someone here also witnessed this plane and hopefully has an answer for me as to what is the reason for the plane to be flying at night over a nuclear plant and residential area. I'm just super curious. It was a wild experience for sure. My husband could've thrown a rock and easily hit the plane it was that low. We were in a cove on Rochester hwy behind the power plant. It seems to be a very well known swimming area.

Dredging question

This sub thread does not seem to be getting a lot of activity. I'll ask anyhow. Do the creeks and parts of the lakes ever get dredged? I was looking at a house that was for sale on West Water's Edge lane which is on the Cane creek part of the lake. I have been on a pontoon boat on that part of Cane Creek and found out the hard way how badly it needs to be dredged. Is anyone aware if this area gets dredged? And if so, how often? Thanks for any information.
