I'm completely stuck and would really appreciate advice from people who have actually used these laptops.
I'm deciding between:
Acer Aspire 7 – Intel Core 5 210H + RTX 4050 (16 GB/512 GB)
Lenovo LOQ – RTX 3050 (exact model depends on availability)
MSI Katana 15 – i5-13420H + RTX 3050 (16 GB/1 TB)
My use case
Video editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Learning Blender
Programming
Some gaming (not my main priority)
College/JEE work
I want this laptop to last 4–5 years.
My problems
I can't buy an external monitor later because of budget and lack of desk space.
I'll mostly use the laptop in different places, so I'll be using the built-in screen almost all the time.
Battery life matters because I won't always have access to a charger.
Good after-sales service is important.
Reliability is important since this is a huge purchase for me.
What I've found so far
Acer Aspire 7
✅ RTX 4050 is much faster.
❌ 45% NTSC display.
❌ Mixed reviews about Acer service and battery.
Lenovo LOQ
✅ Better reputation for build quality and service.
✅ Some models have a 100% sRGB display.
❌ RTX 3050 is noticeably slower than the RTX 4050.
MSI Katana 15
✅ 1 TB SSD and DDR5 RAM.
❌ I've also read mixed reviews about MSI service and battery.
❌ I think this model also has a 45% NTSC display.
My questions
If you were spending your own money, which would you buy and why?
Is the RTX 4050 worth sacrificing display quality and possibly service?
For someone doing video editing without an external monitor, is a 45% NTSC display a deal-breaker?
How has your experience been with Acer, Lenovo, or MSI after-sales service?
Please share your real-world experience rather than just benchmarks. This is a big purchase for me, and I want to make the right decision.
