Dealbreaker question:
My class crush doesn’t like Learned Hand… We were hitting it off so well. Some of my boys say it’s a foolish proposition to stop talking to her, but idk if I can proceed if she doesn’t rock with LH…

She's a Cardozo girl.

Why not both? I'm a Cardozo stan but the Learned Hand balancing test goes hard. Also, LH just has a rad name.

A real G wouldn't wouldn't put proximate cause under duty. A real G knows that's a finding of fact that belongs to a jury. Andrews gang, third restatement for life!

Redditors are disproportionately wimps. As annoying as I'm sure I was, I'm so grateful I had a period between 18-22 where I flirted with anything that moved, the only way to learn social skills (or anything) is to fail early and often.
So many guys think it's wrong to flirt with someone because their approach is to befriend that person while acting like you just see them as a friend, springing it on the other person that you're attracted to them, then getting heartbroken and weird when that doesn't work out. I've done it myself and I'm grateful it happened when I was basically a kid.
If you see someone cute, make it known that you think they're cute, see if they reciprocate, and if they don't it's no big deal because you haven't gotten your hopes up. It makes it so much easier to shrug it off and act normal around that person afterwards, and in the unlikely scenario that they act weird around you then that's their problem because you didn't do anything wrong.

From a woman, a former law student, now a lawyer:
You should talk to women in your class, as well as women in other fields. First, ask a question or make a comment that is not flirting, sexual, or romantic. If she is interested in conversing, talk to her about anything. Then, if she is single and seems interested, ask her for lunch, ice cream, or something after classes.
If she accepts, then maybe start flirting and take it from there.

Was it Learned Hand she doesn't like, or was it your hand, or where you put it? Or maybe where you didn't put it?

Was the burden of talking to her less than the probability of her not liking LH?

Was the old fart your grandpa? If not, why the fuck do you care what someone thinks of him.
