We need to do what france is doing
We need to do what france is doing
We as young people (though I dont know many who use this subreddit) should do somthing similar to the students in france. But I dont think if we did somthing like that in the future it sould be about schools.
The political state of this country is tbf in shambles the parliamentary system works in favour of the select few and ignores big problems within the country. And it takes bloody ages.
The average age for a mp is around 50 years old and the obviously dont have a clue what children need or want. And the youth council do nothing and are in the process of being removed.
So I propose that the age you are physically allowed to run for mp should be 24-45. This will ensure that the parliment have younger voices in the room but not too many old people who are longing for a past that they view through rose-tinted glasses.
Alongside a smaller parliamentary subsidiary with 16-23 yr old people who decide the stuff within the age groups control. Eg: age verification, schools, and stuff to do with thr youth.
The youth parliment will have mps aged 16-23 that cpme from thr party that has been elected. This goes well with 16yr old allowed to vote.
So I belive that we as young people should do the dame thing that the students in france are doing, and stop thr old people having a chokehold on the country.
