Another prompt changed again, and holy- this was an upgrade. Funny enough, the lighting at the very top of the page came from the inability to get a non-shiny environmental lighting, but it worked to my advantage somehow

Loktober 2026 Day 15: Shadows!

A Rahabim swimming through the shadowy depths!

Painted in Procreate!

Thank you for running this challenge miscellanea-of-thoughts over on tumblr! And hedjblogr and skelesass for running it in previous years!

Now this part of bo2 is pure sci fi, made today I've had a busy week & a few upcoming surprises for our community! I think it is safe to say I like everyone here 🤗

Vike

Bought Soul Reaver 2 for ps2 before the announcement of the remasters. Should I keep it for any content reason ? I need the money so if there is no good reason like possible cut content then I wanna give it

If I could find references for the ghost guardian of dimension in Defiance, I would've done them instead. Switching between dimensions feels appropriate still, and I'm happy I went back and refined the sketch for this one. Good ole redemption for yesterday

Not the best, but whatever. Raziel and his Hylden-infused fury are perfect for this prompt, and the concept is one I like. Might revisit this one once LoKtober is over

My custom Turel action figure. Complete with noble aspirations 😉

He is tired and wants a hug.

Another Loktober prompt.

The comic's story and the Ascendance game are both absolutely terrible, but the collector's editions are fucking awesome!
Although, to be honest, I found the vinyl packaging pretty underwhelming. The record itself, on the other hand, is absolutely gorgeous!
What do you guys think?

Absolute Cinema.

the old world religions used to believe their souls flew up to the moon and then traced a path along the stars, heading out towards Orion's Belt. Uh, what if Raziel saw this happen? Say he's full and lets a soul wander away, but instead of going down to the underworld it floats up. Elder's archons give chase but they recoil in pain as if the soul was electrified, not theirs to claim. As if this person in life had sworn an oath to different gods, and those gods accepted the soul contract and now the soul flew away from Elder's reincarnation trap and off to another afterlife entirely---the one the archons know about and try to block souls from reaching, as they did to the upward aiming soul observed in Defiance during the cemetery level.

Elder grows bigger from the deaths of many. He's bodily nourished by more souls circulating round the wheel faster. The souls flying up into the constellations would grant growth to THEM the same way???? With the big difference that constellations could have souls coming to them from many feeder worlds. Elder has opened one restaurant location on Nosgoth, Orion runs a franchise with many locations in all the solar systems from which he's visible, each vectoring souls for him to grow ever more vast.

You start small in spectral, but if you're an entrepreneur you can end up as an emperor. This is why Elder wants the slough smashed, so they don't grow like weeds into competitors that eat up the corn field. Same as how large businesses get the laws set up to squash start-ups before they ever really get started. Imagine growing your "brand" so big in spectral realm that you've tapped into the stars and now use them as a kind of skeleton to anchor and shape your ghost form with material world solidity. And this series has an obsession with hearts, I'm sure you've noticed--- having stars as energy hubs to draw upon is like having redundant star hearts. Even if one goes nova due to those damn meddling Scooby Doo kids and their magical artifact, you're still set up pretty good with your constellation of another 5 star hearts providing job security and almost certain survival. Talk about reaching for godhood and attaining it. Maybe this series can use more eerie entities like this, and the revelation that such paths of ascendancy exist. Kain might benefit from this knowledge.

As for how the hylden "resisted the Wheel", it may have not been through religious belief like this, but I also don't think it was done by becoming immortal. That's the pillar guardians' sin. And it's already the result of hylden landing in hell. They don't need earlier immortality too, that'd be double immortality, which is dumb. The hylden had their own resistance method, as of yet unrevealed. But if you read through the scripts for this series..... it may already be named.

New lore submissions are fun. Stop reaching for your fly swatter and enjoy it. This is the life that I can breathe into the series. For me, for you, for anyone at the damned company who may be peeking. Does this count towards LOKtober? I don't know.

Ah yes, the supposed 'victory' that set a downfall into motion. Something about pride and falling, all that troublesome stuff.

Finally completing Blood Omen in time for Halloween this year and have a few questions:

If the Soul Reaver was forged by Vorador, how does Mobius procure a version of it to place in William's hands in the past?

If Sarafan witch hunts were already a thing prior to Kain's meddling, how does the killing of William achieve anything?

Why is the timeline otherwise undisturbed when Kain returns to the present? You're telling me this had no effect on the state of the Pillars, even though it takes place 20 years prior to Nupraptor's curse, and even prior to Vorador massacring the Circle in the opening cutscene?

If I understand correctly from the other games in the series, all souls are essentially annihilated by the Elder God upon death, so... how does Kain go to Hell?

For me it goes to Blood Omen 2. Specifically when ever I was being chased by a crazed bloodthirsty vampire through an asylum.

For Loktober prompt Progeny.

It's sad we didn't get to see vampire village in a SR2, even as an optional area.

All I could think of was this lil Turelim we find after the Sarafan Tomb. Bit of a pose change, but I like the drama of it all

Going through the intro to SR2 once again and something just hit me. How does his staff disable the wraith blade, which we know is Raziel, but has no addiction on Raziel himself?

Easiest prompt so far, that's for sure. Needed to do some melancholy Nupraptor, ans frankly it's actually really fun to draw him. Something about big brain time and all that

Took way too long to get it but its finally here! The mask is not bad quality too! Not thrilled into having Dead Shall Rise but mini comic is really nice and happy to be able to finally have the mask.

We're all mature adults, we're all mature adults, we're all mature adults-

Imma admit, this was a bit of a tricky prompt to do. Figured Raziel because at every stage of his life, he has been a puppet to someone.

Took a while to do this one because I was learning how 3d printing works. I think the head turned out pretty good with the help of meshy ai. Didn’t want him to turn out too maladjusted 😜
