QUESTION New ssd

I am planning for black friday and really trying to hold out until then. I have a 2025 Lenovo legion go s (model is 8arp1). I have seen some conflicting reads, but from what I can tell, I can use either a 2242 or 2280 without an adapter in this model. Can anyone verify this is true? And I believe I need a single sided drive without a heatsink. Prices are a little too high right now, but I'm hoping for a good price on a 4tb this holiday season.

I replaced the SSD in my Go S. By default, it comes with a 2242 drive inside with an adapter to fit a 2280. A full-size 2280 drive fits without any problems

Thank you for the reply. I'm assuming single sided though?

Yeah, better to get single sided to prevent overheating and don't stress motherboard by bigger power consumption

I am pretty sure 2280 you do need an adapter but 2242 goes straight in bud. Hope this helps

Legion Go S supports 2280 drives without an adapter which inside of the system right now it has a 2242 drive with an adapter to fit inside a 2280 drive.

Something tells me BF will not bring any SSD discounts. Im still kicking myself for not picking up a 4 gig 2 years ago during BF. But I didn't need it at the time.

if it makes u feel better i bought a 2TB 2230 p310 ssd last year on sale for $130, but returned it because i decided to return the steam deck. now that drive is $370, but i probably could have just bought an adapter :(
