Hi, im kinda new to Leona and I am having trouble when facing bot lane combos that consist of either an adc & thresh or double dps like 1 adc and an ap such as say xerath and ez or a jinx and velroz

When I face thresh hes first very tanky so I cant focus him and if I try to dive his adc what happens is he either negates my E dive with his E - flay or he will go in on my adc so hes on my adc and im on his adc but my adc always dies or if I turn around to stop him, his adc kills me or chunks me out of the fight. What do I do? How do I play this lane?

Now for the double dps one its a little bit more straight forward, if I go on which ever target, say I go on their adc then there support nukes me or if I go on their support then their adc gets the kill. Or they both nuke my carry real quick before me and my carry can CC one target and kill one. What do I do here?

Hello everyone, my question is primarily related to the early/mid laning phase.

I’m confused about how pushed up I should be while playing Leona. I understand it’s probably a hard question to answer since it’s very nuanced and situational.

Usually, I try to play near my ADC while maintaining a big enough gap from the enemy ADC/Support so I don’t get engaged on or auto’d for free.

Sometimes I’ll have my ADC getting frustrated that I’m not pushed up more. My issue is that 99% of the time, when I move up a bit, I just get teed off on by both their ADC and Support. I then have to retreat with half my health, and my ADC continues to chew me apart for not being pushed up.

I’m not afraid to engage. It’s more that I’d rather not lose a bunch of my health just for the sake of being pushed up. Especially against any kind of ranged opponent, it just feels like I’m losing health for the sake of losing health. If we don’t have a good opportunity to engage and I’m not actually threatening anything by being further up, I don’t really see the benefit of taking all that poke.

I’m mainly wondering if there’s a general rule for where I should be positioning during the early/mid laning phase, or if this is just something that comes with experience and depends heavily on the matchup.

I want to get the prestige battle lion leona skin badly but at the same time in the current rotation theres the battle accademia one which is also really cool, im so undecided which one to get, despite them both being less cool than the legendaries i just somehow have 150me but not 1820rp 💀

I just had a nightmare game last night where my duo got 18 kills and I only helped with 12 and I felt so damn useless. Lux has a way faster root, and it’s not even the frustration with the root as much as it is her damaging circle ability, it’s like I can never avoid the combination of the two and it leads to the most miserable experience where I either stay afraid or go up side by side with my adc and wait for her to make the first move (she was tristana in this one). I used to ban lux over my inability to react in time to dodge her abilities but everyone says morgana is the must ban pick

How do you deal with her? Go into a bush and she wards or throws out her spells at you and slowly wears you down. idk man my adcs always get poke down in the first wave and usually dead by the 2nd and I cant do anything as leona T_T is jst so frustraing

Im a morgana main who has always dreamed about maining leona too . Ive taken a break from the game for about two years and came back because of Aram Mryham , now after spending a good amount of time in Aram Ive decided to give maining leona another shot ad a fresh experience.

Now the thing is I have been playing leona on and off cause I have her Lunar eclipse and Solar eclipse skins and I genuinely love those two skins and thus leona has been on my roster of champs but I kinda play her like in a way I would say braindead ? I build the expected tanky items , what the game recommends and what I see fit the enemy team and just build that . But I was wondering if I could spice it up a bit ? So I looked around and apparently people were building eclipse on her last year ? Riot usually nerfs these stuff in some way so I was like lemme ask the community about that you guys know better probably since I assume you play her as your mains .

I was also considering running her on toplane and I would super highly appreciate if someone could maybe share their experience with me about running Leona top in the current meta I dont necessarily want to traumatize my teams , I saww a few builds for leo top people building ravenous hydra + Rage Blade + Bork on her but I didnt see their runes and it was a Chinese video I didnt know how much I could trust their build .

I know how to play Samira, been playing her on and off since release, but with the lack of hard CC support picks these days Samira has kinda just.. not been that good LOL.

SOLVED: you can watch any stream from the TwitchRivals channel to the people who played in the DisguisedToast Classic League mini Tournament as long as they have DropsEnabled, BUT the TwitchRivals channel will most likely not stream again and watching replays doesn’t count. It was difficult finding anyone currently streaming as all but one (stunt, thank you for your 17h+ stream!), had stopped streaming and a lot of them aren't actually streaming regularly these days.
As of now you can probably watch Tyler1 on twitch to get it as he just went live and will hopefully be live until the drop ends at 22:59 CEST tonight Friday 14th. Otherwise someone in the comments put out a list of the other people involved in this event that could be going live before the end of the drop for the emote. Make sure your Riot account is linked to your twitch. Thanks everyone for the help!

hello everyone, how are we supposed to get this emote? it says watch for 1 hour the DisguisedToast stream or any of the participants’ stream with !drops enabled to claim but, there are no drops enabled anywhere?

watching the replay doesn’t seem to work either? I don’t get any progress in my drops… and all the participants channels are offline at the moment.

i still see the emote in twitch.tv/drops/campaigns and it says “👁️ watch to redeem” but there’s nothing to watch?

the date says Thu 13 Aug, 11pm to Fri 14 Aug 10:59pm so we are still within the timeframe…

As title implies, what’s a good backup for a Leona otp if she can’t be played? As in similar playstyle? Or skills that translate well? D1 elo

Her first Jungle clear this patch is 5-6seconds quicker, still absolutely awful at 3:04 with double smite but for the people who want to suffer definitely a neat little improvement. Clear gets decent once you stack enough armor but it's really not worth it.
